I have a problem with people who use Plan B as birth control instead of using one or more readily available forms of birth control and using the Plan B for a real emergency situation, as it was intended. I have met college women who have been so intoxicated they weren't sure if they had sex or used any form of protection, so they take a Plan B after partying "just to be safe" because pregnancy is so much worse than herpes or HPV.

Plus it is much cheaper to buy condoms and something else (foam, sponge, so on) than it is for Plan B three time a month (yes, three times, once for every weekend, the other week she had her period so she knew she was okay). Plan B is $50 but you can buy it in bulk from www.drugstore.com with no prescription. I blame abstinence only sex education and lack of good information on how our bodies work for people abusing Plan B, let alone the idiocy of not being aware of sexual activity or protection due to alcohol and drug abuse.

Oh and here's a funny, right next to the register of my pharmacy is the sexual health area (Plan B, condoms, pregnancy & ovulation tests) and right next to the Plan B is a paternity test! The package has all kinds of information for using it for legal purposes in court, but wouldn't going on Maury be cheaper?

Call me an idiot, but I seriously did not know that they sold paternity tests in the drugstore (I don't venture into that area of the store too often). How does that work? Is it all done at home or do you have to send the samples somewhere for a result?

I agree with you on the point about teens needing to learn about how to properly protect themselves and such. This reduces unplanned pregnancies drastically and we don't have to worry about abortion as birth control, plan B abuse/miseducation, etc.

I was waiting for this to come up. the first bolded part, that ish bugs me out. if you were that messed up that you cant remember having sex, there are problems. even more so if there isnt anyone around who was coherent enough to recall it for you.

doesnt popping Plan Bs after a wild and irresponsible night (or even as a "just in case") fall under recreational drug use, minus the high?

and as to the 2nd bolded part: eww, 3x a month? that has GOT to eff up your insides.

on an unrelated note, is there a way, medically, for sperm to be "deactivated" through drugs? i could imagine this would lead Joe Schoe to hit it raw all the time, but why should the woman take the brunt of altering her body when all the guy has to do is "wrap it up" (and then some of them mess that up)?

I read the posts and I just want to tell all of you thanks for responding. Before I get started, I just have to tell 33girl that when I pmed you, you probably got about 50 of the same messages from me. Haha sorry about that. I didn't know why it wasn't showing message sent. I know this is a dumb thread, but here, good advice is given so I posted it. According to the pregnancy test she purchased at the store, she's is indeed pregnant. I found out the next morning after I started this thread, I just didn't post because I was and still am pretty bummed out about it. I didn't bring up the fact that it might or might not be mine. Chicks freak at that shit. I don't know how I can bring it up to her that I want to get a blood test after the kid is born. When she told me, she then asked me what I wanted to do. I told her that it's up to her. She freaked and said she was not getting an abortion if that's what I'm thinking. I didn't tell her, but to be quite honest with you, that's what I thought she was talking about. She was talking about us. I don't want to be with her as far as a relationship goes. Yeah, I know, I should have worn a rain coat, but shit happens in the heat of the moment. I didn't have any condoms where we were, and we both thought the pill would work because it worked before. She's a clean girl so I know she doesn't have any stds. I've known her for a while, we were just friends for the longest time, so it's not like I don't know anything about her. Financially, I'm not worried, because I have a decent job. It's just really fucked up knowing I have to deal with her. Before anyone jumps all over me for this, I've already accepted that I brought it on myself. I guess my biggest concern is finding out if it's mine. Kevin, more likely than not, I'll pm you in the future for other questions I know I'll have in regards to this.
