This past Fall 05 Bid Day we had a shirt that said:
Front: Keep Dreaming (Three E's are sigmas)
Back: Cause when you wake up you still won't be one of us!
Front: Blue Collar Workers (Mixer with KA shirt)
Back: We all Got Hammered &
Someone Got Nailed

I always wanted to do a rush shirt based ont eh Betty Crocker logo, since the founder/CEO is a DZ and there is a funny rrumor betty herself was a DZ (even though she is a fictional character). i wanted it to have some logo like "Make every day, a dz day" or better ingredient, better sweets. better the sisters, better DZ. I wanted the logo to be a 1950s woman in an apron or a coll betty crocker cake box with delta zeta instead of bc. something like that.
i also wanted to do a vw beetle painted liek a turtle and then have it say, in life there are leaders and their are followers. on teh back, leaders wanted and the dz in the vw logo. soooooo cute!

Interesting. Just wondering, who that "founder/CEO" was? The reason I ask is that General Mills mentions Betty Crocker on its corporate history web page, and indicates that it was a name made up in 1921 to respond to questions about cooking sent in by customers. At that time General Mills was still the Washburn-Crosby Company; the corporate name didn't become General Mills until 1928. Since the founders were men from the Washburn and Crosby families, was there a woman who was the "CEO" of Washburn-Crosby in 1921? Was she a Washburn? A Crosby? Or married to one?
The General Mills history page is at

I'm not sure she was the founder of Betty Crocker, rather head of product development or something, but the person dznat's talking about was a DZ. If I recall, she was an employee, not a wife.

Yes, I remember reading that too but I googled for the article and I can't find it.

for our IM team this year we had really cute jerseys that said Alpha Athletics on the front and Phirocious (where the last name would be) with your number underneath on the back.
there have been lots of other shirts and themes with plays on the phi.

Last year we had shirts that said If your Phi Sig raise your hand On the back if not raise your standards
Black and teal shirts An angle on the front that said Good Girls go to Heaven the Back a devil "Bad girls rush Phi Sig"

My chapter is ordering shirts that the girls can wear for when we participate in fraternities' philanthropies. They saw Alpha Phi Athletics: We Sweat and You Sweat Us.
I think they're going to be cute!

We did the urban outfitters thing also, with red baby tees and white letters with hearts around the phrase 'Everyone Loves a Phi Bete'
We rarely do bulk orders of shirts for everyone or for an event, so a few of us use Customglamgirl.com for stuff...a little pricey, but i love their stuff!

greek t-shirts
I started working for a Greek t-shirt company a little while ago and the one thing that would help the girls and guys is if they would talk to the rep about their shirts. I have literally heard and seen thousands of catch phrases and designs. But I'm always surprised how many don't ask the artists or reps opinion about their shirts. Plug
Since you brought up that you work at TGI, I can take this chance to give you guys a plug. I am a customer, not an employee, so there won't be any reason to delete my post!!
TGI is awesome! They have a lower custom design minimum than some places like Graphic Cow. Their artists are great - any shirt I've ever worked with them on came out better than I imagined. They are courteous and prompt. I think in the time we've worked with them we had maybe one issue they were at fault for and they fixed it ASAP! They've even helped us out quickly when we made a mistake when ordering shirts a few years ago. Unfortunately the rep I had a relationship with left but we still plan to stick with them. The bottom line is that I/we trust them.
While I am posting, let me point out that the first radio voice of Betty Crocker was a Theta - Marjorie Child Husted - Upsilon/Minnesota - 1909.

my boyfriend thought up a great one for our chapter;
On the front: gold and blue (our sorority colours)
on the back: because every other colour means second place
most of the other sororities in our city have a secondary colour of silver, and noone else shares blue with us.

We have had a couple of cute ones
front: Have you ever wondered if you joined the right sorority?
back: letters, we don't
And then there has been a shirt that I've always wanted but it's a little catty. On the front it just says the letters. On back it says
"In life there are leaders and followers. Take note you're reading the back of my shirt."
