Ha! I just
knew that Miss Perfect would end up crashing the Goddesses' party!
I had thought of an alternative to Angel forming her own sorority.
At the end of the semester, she transfers to a smaller school that has spring recruitment and a chapter of the Goddesses. The Goddesses at the new school aren't quite so pretty and perfect as the ones at the first school, but they're at least mid-tier. So she rushes. This time she figures that Photoshopping herself into chapter pictures and showing them to the sisters isn't such a hot idea, but she still tries to present herself to the chapter as a perfect fit, while at least being semi-polite at the other chapters. And lo and behold, she gets a bid to the Goddesses! She pledges and initiates, goes to a few mixers (sadly the top fraternities won't give them the time of day), but never really connects with her new sisters, because there is this THING ...
... which is that she fully plans to transfer back to her original school and affiliate with the Goddesses there. They can't turn her down if she's already initiated, right?
Wrong. She transfers back all right. But when she shows up at the Goddesses' house sporting a lettered shirt, a cute miniskirt, the latest shoes from Louis Vuitton, and a tote bag also with the Goddesses' letters, who should answer the door but her rusher from first round last year. She remembers her immediately, of course. "Hi! Hey ... aren't you Photoshop Girl? I haven't seen you around campus all last semester - and what the hell are you doing in our letters?"
"Oh, hi. Yeah, I transferred out last semester, and pledged the Goddesses there. They're really cool, but I
know my home is with this chapter, so I transferred back! Now that I'm all initiated and stuff, you have to let me affiliate!"
"Oh, um, it's actually not quite that simple. We have to, um, discuss it as a chapter. Why don't you drop an email to our president?"
Angel goes away somewhat annoyed, but goes back to her dorm room and immediately fires off an email to the chapter president, basically telling her what she'd told her rusher from last year.
A couple of days later, she gets a phone call from the president. "I'm so sorry," she says, "but the chapter has decided not to have you affiliate with us. Please don't come by our house again."
Of course, Angel shows up at the house on day 1 of recruitment to help out. This time, the Pi Chis have been alerted in advance, and they gently escort her away and tell her that, if she does show up again, it will be security escorting her away, and does she really want a repeat of last year? She spends the rest of recruitment sulking in her dorm room.
Over the course of the next three years, Angel tries multiple times to get into private Goddess events - chapter meetings, mixers, initiation, formals, etc. Each time, she is gently but firmly removed by sisters, brothers of the fraternities they mix with, campus security, and (for formals, which take place off campus) local police. No matter how many times she is told that she is not a member of the chapter, she keeps trying to crash their events. Finally, after her third arrest for trespassing, nationals intervenes and strips her of her membership.
Finally, as she heads toward graduation, she realizes that it's time to interview for a job. She has her eye on one of the top fashion designers in New York, and she knows they will just
have to give her a job ... because she's perfect!

Hey, this was fun! Maybe I should take up creative writing...
