I like the idea of a list of ebay/greekchat names. Maybe on the yahoo group though.

Any more feelings about this? If you have any questions about the timing, feel free to PM me.

I'm leaning towards a data base style list on our site - and listing the name of the person who added them to the list, if they themselves didn't.

Sisters, I have removed jjdogface from our list.

Back when Smiley21 saw her pin on ebay, but a personal emergency kept her from winning it back, many of us tried to talk to both the seller and jjdogface (the winner of the auction). The seller at least contacted ebay, and hoped to have it resolved, but jjdogface wouldn't even respond to any of the pleas.

This was not a historic or otherwise one-of-a-kind pin, yet jjdogface - who was even offered an exchange! - would not be moved. This is not how one sister should treat another, and I would seriously need to hear a better explanation before putting that name back on our "safe list" again.

Now that ebay's privacy plans scotch our system...

I wanted to let sisters know that they can post interesting Chapter Items here for bidding.

There's a book about ADPi at Southwestern University on ebay right now. Its history is taken from letters from the Founders 1904-1909, and is item #330410573438.

It sounds terribly interesting, so I really hope a sister gets it!

" In 1909, Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, celebrated its first Homecoming. It was the largest gathering of alumni, students and faculty in the 35-year history of the school. Early Price, a member of the founding chapter of Alpha Delta Pi and her sororoity sisters were there. This book is her story, based on a collection of over 500 letters found by her granddaughter that describe the Price family's close ties to each other, the town they helped build and the university that shaped their lives a hundred years ago.
An abandoned box of documents found in a dark closet has been painstakingly transformed into a full color memoir laid out in the manner of a scrapbook kept by a young girl in early 1900s Georgetown. The title is taken from the hymn, "Blest Be the Tie" sung at Southwestern's first Homecoming in 1909--a song that describes Early Price's close association with her family, the town she called home and deep attachment to the school.

Features of the book include:
More than 150 full color pictures documenting life in early Texas and Mexico
Historical information about the area not found in any other exisiting publications
130 old Georgetown families mentioned
Period photographs, vintage postcards, newspaper clippings, greeting cards, original letterhead and announcements
Background information about Georgetown, Southwestern University, early Texas and Mexico before the Mexican Revolution
Book to be subject of feature article in national Alpha Delta Pi magazine, Summer - 2010
Limited edition, hardcover book published in conjunction with Southwestern University's centennial Homecoming November, 2009, is suitable for readers of all ages.
Also includes tasseled and laminated souvenir bookmark of Southwestern University's centennial Homecoming while supplies last
For more information and pictures of the Alpha Delta Pi reception featuring the return of Early Price's pin to her chapter during Homecoming, visit The Ties That Bind Georgetown, Texas"

Good luck!

Ladies, with ebay using "code names" instead of screen names now, is this thread necessary, or should we deep-six it in favor of other challenges? Your thoughts, please?

*lane swerve (crash?)

Might I suggest that you consider removing this thread, other than letting your sisters know that you have a "protected" site only for ADPis? I think Honey knows what my reasoning is.

*off I go; have a great day ADPis (and yes, I acknowledge that you were first and everyone stole everything from you, although I do dispute the cat suit claim, but I'm really jealous about the violet volcano <<<vbg>>>)
