I am a total addict. I just got married and quite a few of the gifts were sushi-related.
My favorite is eel. Sure, the idea of eating an eel is disgusting, but it tastes so good! So I just try not to think about what it is I'm actually eating

What kills me is when you see someone put a whole piece of sushi (rice and all) into soy sauce...
You are supposed to take the piece of fish off, dip that in, put it back on the rice, and then eat it.
Of course, referring to California rolls as sushi kinda ticks me off too, because it's *so* Americanized.
Oh goodness, I'm such a sushi snob.

I tried it for the first time last month. I am not a fan, but I am proud to say I TRIED IT.

I love Sushi!!!! I actually just had some for lunch!!!
Also, it's great for those of us on weight watchers. It's really low on points!
4 pieces of sushi is only 2 points!

I've never had Sushi. No, not even a cali roll. I have had smoked salmon that wsnt cooked and had a raw flava to it. I live in a town of 1.5 million - so its not from lack of opportunity -just never have. Want to - just never have. I'll try almost anything once.
But I will not eat tripas. I said ALMOST anything.

i went to the grocery store today and bought the ingredients to make sushi (americanized sushi - california roll). it was my first time to make it and it turned out okay, but it was think and huge. i didn't have the roller to push it all together and i think i put too much rice.

My BF and I bought one of those wooden sushi makers at a fair with big dreams of having sushi parties with friends. We've still never used it. I will someday.... It's just so much easier to go to a restaurant!

I'm pretty basic when it comes to sushi. I start off with Rice Soup and I usually have the tuna rolls (spicey or regular), California rolls, or the shrimp and salmon rolls. (Sorry, I don't know the authentic Japanese names) I'm too afraid to try anything like eel. I'm a picky eater and liking sushi is a really big step for me!
Yum, I think that's what I will have for dinner tonight.
