Closed down the chapter in old El Paso? *clap clap clap clap clap*

Is that where they ran into a great big hassle?

Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis has announced that they will be splitting. Indiana University portion (IU-Indianapolis?) will take the bulk of the programs.

I am wondering what will happen to the FSL organizations. Will they take membership from both campuses or split into separate campuses?

I would think that until it all shakes out they will stay in one chapter. Automatically chartering a second chapter sounds like a recipe for disaster.

The opposite of that happened here at Kennesaw State when they took in another public campus. Some chapters were at both campuses.

it doesn't take effect until fall 2024, so they have a bit of time. they are still trying to figure out how this affects athletes- will those players who are going for Purdue degrees be allowed to finish out their college sports careers.

The University of Virginia has revoked recognition of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) and Kappa Alpha Order. Neither may return until 2026. Recognition is revoked due to hazing allegations.

Our Alpha Lambda chapter at Auburn University has returned to campus. The chapter was suspended during Fall 2020. They are not a colony.

Congrats to the founders of Sigma Delta Tau at Florida Atlantic University! No exact number but the colony has over 100 new members in it.

This is more or less what happened with IUPU Fort Wayne about 3 years ago. That was slightly easier as all of IU's programs at the IPFW campus were health related, and all athletics and GLOs, (I think) stayed with the PU-FW campus.

The split Memorandum of Understanding is at

Hopefully it will be a group that's interested in housing, because there will be at least one available.
