Kappa Lambda Nuuuu (Zoom zoom zoom)
or something like that. I just remember them harmonizing their butts off!
I forgot Dwayne's line name, but I THINK it was Everready because he had no juice? One big brother's name was Sam (had a crush on Whitley).
And Whitley's name was "Big Sister Gorgeous 1".
Yeah, I done gone and messed up doing like I would do a regular test - answering some questions and coming back to the others I don't know later before time's up!
Okay y'all. . . before you go cheating by looking at my answers, make sure that I'm right!

I Love Whitley's name!! Matter of fact my mom and brother started calling me that all the time after I started to call myself that!!!

I was hoping for a 1 hour special also but only 30 minutes . Should I assume you missed the last season? Dwayne and Whit did marry and D was teaching in the math dept with Col. Taylor, who by the way married Jelesa and they had a baby. Col. Taylor's son Terrance at some point became a dance major. The way the show ended was Whit had lost her job at E.H. Wright Industries and took a job substitute teaching. One of her students, I forget the girls name, was having difficulty with spelling but loved to play the gameboy. Whit had brought this child home to tutor and Ron and Dwayne had made comments about grammer boy, a way to help kids with spelling on a game boy.
Gotta go do some work but I'll be back to finish this.

OK I'm back.
So, Dwayne presented this idea to the big wigs at Kanishiwa and they loved it. They offer him a promotion. Meanwhile, Whit discovers she's el prego and is worried how she will tell Dwyane with money being so tight for them. Dwayne comes home to tell Whit the great news and she grabs him and wants to play the grammer boy game. The idea is to put together a sentence with basic grammer. So Whitley says, "I" which is the noun, then "am" and then she pretends to toss a ball at Dwayne who in turn, swings at it right as she says "pregnant!" Then Dwayne says "Put'em together and what do you have? I-am-pregnant."
BAM!! He drops the bat during his realization and they have a beautiful husband- wife- moment where he hugs her.
There's more

that was a fun thread to read...
I have to tell you...I lived "A Different World" while it was running....all the way down to my Sorors calling me Freddie to this day...although, I still don't think I was quite as eccentric as she was.
Great memories...Howard University 1988-1992
Yes, I LOVED my HBCU experience!
I think I just may have to buy the series!!!!!

I just read that A Different World will start showing at Nick at Night by the end of the month! They also did a reunion that will also air when they do the marathon.

More info of Different World on Nick at Night (BV)
The groundbreaking ensemble comedy 'A Different World' will get another go, with its addition to the Nick at Nite line-up.
The Bill Cosby-produced sitcom was the first of its kind, introducing viewers to life at a historically black college and tackling social and political issues rarely explored on television.
Originally created as a spin-off for 'The Cosby Show' regularLisa Bonet, 'A Different World' kick started the careers of Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison and Dawnn Lewis. The sitcom also jumpstarted the career of Marisa Tomei -- a former soap opera actress who went on to win an Academy Award (1992's 'My Cousin Vinny'). 'C.S.I.' heartthrob Gary Dourdan also made his acting debut on the show.
Sinbad, Mary Alice, Loretta Devine, Tisha Campbell, Cree Summer, Glynn Turman, Jada Pinkett and the late Ted Ross also starred in various roles over the course of the series' six year run. Diahann Carroll, Richard Roundtree, Patti LaBelle and Ron O'Neal also made cameos, with Debbie Allen serving as director and producer.
"A Different World is a ground-breaking series that truly had one of the most talented ensemble casts on television," stated Nick at Nite President Larry W. Jones. "Filled with cultural vibrancy, the show explored so many important issues of our time and we are proud to add it to Nick at Nite's line-up."
'A Different World' will officially get the Nick At Night roll-out July 19, with a four-hour marathon beginning at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The series will air in its regularly scheduled timeslot of 10 p.m. from Monday-Friday beginning July 22.
