4) I joined because I wanted an opportunity to meet and network with more women in the area, as well as on a larger scale, and have more opportunities for community service.

5)I'm very happy to have the privilege of being in in our sisterhood. I have bachelor's degrees in Business Management and Health Sciences. I am an administrative assistant and a yoga teacher. I am also an alumna & national volunteer of Kappa Alpha Theta women's fraternity and Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity. I have served as an officer for Beta Sigma Phi in the following areas: Beta Psi: President, VP, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, Social Chair, Yearbook Committee, City Council Rep, & Recording Secretary. On City Council: Corresponding Secretary (two years), Recording Secretary, Ritual Supplies Chair, two times on Nominating Committee. Xi Delta Nu: Historian (currently), Publicity Chair (currently), Recording Secretary (currently), Yardstick (currently), Service Committee, Council Rep. I served on the 2014 State Convention Committee as Co-Chair & Service Chair. During my time in Beta Sigma Phi I have been Woman of the Year twice (Beta Psi) and Valentine Queen/Sweetheart twice (once for Beta Psi and once for Xi Delta Nu). My husband is an Envoy. My youngest step son is a Little Envoy, and my step-daughter is a legacy.

4. Why I joined Beta- I moved to a new area where I knew practically no one. I found out about Beta and decided to give it a try. It is one way I find instant friends wherever I move.

5. Anything else you want us to know- I have just discovered this site and learned of the 'online chapters'. I'm living in American Samoa at the moment and have found only one other sister here. I have been in membership in Port Orchard, WA; Orange Co., CA: SunCity, CA and in Valley Center, CA.

4) I have a younger brother, and not a lot of close friends due to me being shy. I enjoy community service and thought that Beta Sigma Phi & I would make a good fit. I also wanted something to pass on to my future daughters (maybe, that is soemthing that you really can't control)

4. I joined because a close friend of mine twisted my arm hard enough to attend a meeting with her. I am glad she did though, cause now, not only can I call her my friend, I can call her my sister. Besides, it's nice to get out and have fun with such wonderful women!!!

I joined to get involved in our community and have an opportunity to communicate with adult women outside of work.
Currently I am working hard to get younger members involved as our numbers are shrinking. I am waiting for my "Chapter in a Box" from International. I am President of City Council this year.
