I'd also like to point out that if you ask nicely and respond nicely, you get nice back. If you're snarky, that's what you get.
There are several new posters here who have gotten nothing but helpful replies from posters (ex: KSUdamsel and others).

Ok, I'll play...
I am guessing you're going to Clemson. (ACC school in SC kinda gives it away...)
If you wanted to rush, you should have done it as a freshman or sophomore. Unless your school has an upperclassman quota, you will be looked at as a burden. Why? You'd be taking up a space in the group that could be filled by someone for four years. If you get in, they will have to rerush to fill that same spot in 1-2.
Being desperate only adds to your likelihood of going bidless. You can smell desperation on a pnm like the stink of skunk on a hot day.
Now, those are only generalizations. Why? Because I don't know shit about you and could be totally wrong. But, my guess is that it's gonna be difficult.
Also, don't give me the crap about, "I wanted to wait until I could give my sorority my full attention." That just means that being in a sorority wasn't enough of a priority. TRUST ME -- you go in saying that and you'll sink your chances. No one likes to hear excuses that basically show that rushing was not high enough on your list to merit rushing.

Should have seen this one coming just by the name of the thread! Drama queen alert thread title like "Is rushing out of the question for me?" was such a give away. Seriously?! I was expecting her to be a teen mother or married or a reformed druggie or something better than a junior who finally decided she might want to be Greek.

First, I must explain why I have waited this long. Nobody in my family has ever gone Greek and I'm one of few in my family that has actually attended college. I didn't rush my freshman year because I graduated a semester early from high school, so really I only had the spring semester of my freshman year to jump on board. I didn't rush this year because I was involved in other activities, so I wanted to wait until another year passed so that I could put my sorority first.
Do I have a chance at a moderately competitive school? or, should I stick to the other non-Greek affiliated activities?

I'm still trying to figure out what your "relatively unique situation" is.
No one here can tell you your "chances."
