Pi Zeta is no longer a colony, we are a chapter, and tied for the largest house on ASU campus!

We had Mu chapter at the University of California (Berkeley), which closed in 1969 as listed. Knowing what was going on in the collegiate world at that time (particularly in the People's Republic of Berkeley), it's no surprise that a more traditional institution like a sorority would have closed. It happened all over the country. As far as recolonization there, the price of real estate makes doing so prohibitive, and a chapter would have to have a chapter house in order to succeed. If I recall correctly, the Mu Chapter alums held onto their house corp money until they were instructed to turn it over to the national housing corporation.

Actually, our chapter @ Concord is strong as ever. Started Greek Week today. WVTech closed several years ago.

I stand corrected ... and I'm glad to hear it, dzandiloo! I didn't see on the list of Concord organizations, though.

The Lambda Psi chapter at Columbus State University in Georgia was re-activated in 1993 (that date is close - since I was the CCD at the time I should be positive but being in the midst of moving has scambled my brains as well as my possessions.)

There are good reasons for considering both 1934 and 1956 as "founding" dates for the Fairmont State chapter. 1934 is true for its founding as Alpha Eta of Delta Sigma Epsilon. In 1956 Delta Sigma Epsilon merged with Delta Zeta, so that's the chapter's founding date as DZ's Epsilon Iota chapter.
Just a historical tidbit .....
