Keep an eye on this one. It's a pearl pin from 1927. A ZTA is the highest bidder right now so let's make sure to keep it this way!

badges on ebay a/o 5/15/05
RadioZTA,
Do I understand then that Scully1898 will bid against Zetas for badges? (Am currently experiencing this...although the reserve has still not been met and may be too rich for anyone's blood)
Thanks,

Yes, this person is a collector so any GLO affiliation does not matter to him/her.
I'm having a huge issue with hbrieholmes. She has outbid Zetas on several badges. When I inquired about her interest, here is what she said, "There is no particular reason except that I noticed that these pins were going fairly cheaply lately. I like all National frats and usually just stock up when the price is right. If you guys want to buy them back from me, you can always make an offer. I am an ADPi and welcome trades too for my badges and many others. I usually stock up for when they sell for higher and may put them up at that time."
I guess she forgot about sending me that e-mail because a few months after that she offered to sell me several ZTA badges because "I'd love to get them back in your sister's hands!"
Um...o.k. If you want Zetas to have them, then why do you outbid Zetas in the first place?

ZTA Badges
Hello Sisters,
I am watching another seeded pearl ZTA badge and as long as the high bidder is not a Zeta, I will bid prior to auction end.
I have also been approached by a seller with numerous ZTA badges. I have indicated interest in pictures and prices which should come by email. RadioZTA, you probably know who I am referring to.
I am hoping to take alot of them out of circulation
We'll see how it goes and I will keep you all posted!
ZLAM,
Kathy (kkw27012)

Yes, I tried to find some Zeta buyers for those badges but the prices she wants are too high. When I asked more detailed questions about engraving, age, etc., she never replied.

Welcome! I'm so glad you let us know you're here!
On a different note...I'm so tired of new Ebayers that go crazy and start bidding up without knowing what is going on. We really need to do a better job of educating our members. Aargh!

*crash*
There's a Zeta badge in this lot of pins. This part of the description really made me mad: "GREAT LOT FOR A COLLECTOR OR IF YOUR LOOKING TO ADD SOME WEIGHT TO YOUR SCRAP GOLD USE HERE IT IS."

Shame on a fellow sister. Please accept an apology on her behalf from the rest of us ADPis who value Panhellenic unity and sisterhood over money.

You're so sweet! I have had some off-line conversations with other ADPi friends and this person is a problem for them, too, with her bidding/selling tactics. Based on the other ADPi's that I'm acquainted with, I know that she is a rarity and I don't feel badly towards your group at all.
