I don't know how Anwar could go before Anthony and/or Scott. Anthony is just blah and Scott has the personality of a paper sack. People, what were you thinking??? At least Anwar is fun to look at.

I'm still reeling that Nadia left before Scott and Anthony. Now Anwar left before Scott and Anthony.. ugh!
MacArthur Park, the song Carrie sang is metaphorical. It was originally done in 1968 as more of a ballad and then Donna Summer did it as a disco song. It's a metaphor for a lost relationship "Someone left my cake out in the rain. I don't think that I can take it, cuz it took so long to bake it, and I'll never have that recipe again... " You youngens are pretty critical of our 60's and 70's classics (also of our hair styles and clothing). I can't wait to hear what your kids say when they hear Drops of Jupiter 20 years from now and you'll be going "But that's a classic!". MacArthur Park was written around the time of Strawberry Fields and "Up Up and Away", which, if you don't know it, goes like this:
Up, Up and Away, in my beautiful, my beautiful balloon,
Would you like to fly in my beautiful balloon?
The world's a nicer place in my beautiful balloon
It wears a nicer face in my beautiful balloon
We can sing a song and sail along the silver sky
For we can fly we can fly
Okay? Lyrics weren't great then. Everybody was stoned and thought they were great. Lyrics sucked then. That's the way it was. The 70's dance music included such great selections as Disco Duck, Saturday Night Fever, The Atomic Dog and You Dropped the Bomb on Me. See what we had to live through???? It wasn't pretty then, it isn't pretty now, and they shouldn't force these talented American Idolians to do songs from that era AT ALL!

That's so funny that you mention that song. I actually heard it in a Dollar Store recently and went "What the hell?" Yes... I'm a "kid."
Topic? Haven't watched yet... but I guess that spoiler was pretty reliable. Damn. More eye candy gone.
And Scott "Pat the bunnies" Savol is still flippin' there!!!!

I guess writing the book means he won't get the money from Paula. I don't think I would have come out with the story until I had a buyer for my story--and one to pay more than the 2 million Paula promised.

I also have Reflexive Sympathetic Dystrophy, the disease Paula was just diagnosed with. I can attest to the fact that it is so painful that you can't function. Luckily, with the help of my doctors I live a somewhat pain-free life. I would be dancing and being crazy if I found relief from this horrible disease. I say GO PAULA!

Ewww... that was just uncalled for. I guess anyone is willing to do anything for a buck or too...
I actually feel sorry for Paula... Corey was just nasty.

I hate watching the show when people who really deserve to be out keep making it in. Sure, sympathy votes are one thing, but how can people REALLY want to make them their Idols and watch/listen to them for years to come?! Get a clue!!
I don't know if it's been mentioned or not already, but I heard on the radio ABC is running a story on 20/20 or something like that during sweeps about the secrets behind AI and how crap REALLY works- it should be interesting...

You know I read this one!
The article I read this weekend said he had to sign over all of his rights to the music because of the Idol contract. I wonder if he can get back in after the contrat is over if he doesn't win...
