Honey, you're in my prayers!

I also ask for prayers for school... I'm set to graduate a year early this coming May, so I am trying to get everything set to go. Without going into boring or confusing details, I may have a shot at doing TV production work (what I want to do) for an internship... but I need some prayers that it will work out.

Thanks!

Thanks, everyone. I had my second rabies series on Friday, the next one is tomorrow (Tuesday). They're not as bad as the first set, but take a while. At least they don't put them in the stomach anymore, though.

Just so you know, and I hope no one ever has to get these, they can only put so many cc's of the anti-rabies serum within so many inches of each other. I also needed a tetanus shot (I knew I was due for that) and an anti-rabies vaccine. So, I ended up with a major shot in each arm, one on each cheek, four in each thigh, and *shudder* two in the bite - my PALM! The last two were the killers! The doctor had to swish the needle in my palm, to make sure it was all covered.

Then I got a call from the Health Department. I have to catch the cat who did this, take it to the vet to be euthanized, and have them send them the body. I've only seen this cat once since it happened, and trapping him is NOT going to be easy, especially since there are some very nice, almost completely socialized kittens who hang around the same place - I don't want to traumitize the kittens. *sigh* Things they don't tell you when you go into rescue!

BTW, I have a gorgeous 5 month old neutered male Siamese mix, flame/amber points, beautiful azure blue eyes, very social, who is a virtual purr machine in need of a home. We're all allergic (even our dog!), or we'd keep him ourselves - he's that lovable! I hope to be able to post pictures later tonight or tomorrow. Just PM me if you're interested.

Honey, I am so sorry you are having to go through that! I had to get rabies shots in high school after an unfortunate bat incident while babysitting (the kids had to get them too, poor things) and it's not a pleasant experience. You're in my thoughts!

Please keep my friends family in your thoughts and prayers. Her father passed away in car accident on the 279 in Pittsburgh. She lost her college sweatheart not that long ago either so my heart goes out to her.

I don't want to go into to many details on a public forum, but I've got a lot going on right now in my life and I'm having a meeting tomorrow morning that could really effect my life (either in a good or bad way). Please just keep me in your thoughts that things turn out the way that I need and want them too.

I don't want to go into all the details...please just pray that I receive the guidance and answers that I need to hear about a current situation going on in my life. I'm trying to keep my chin up and lean on my faith, but it's been hard and there've definitely been some not-so-pretty moments for me recently.

I am in my bed at my parents recovering from microfracture surgery on my right knee. I'm only 3 days into a 6 week recovery period where I cannot put ANY weight on my knee. Please pray for me!

I'm having outpatient surgery on Tuesday afternoon! Ugh. Keep the surgeon and my hubby and baby (antsy baby in a hospital waiting room will be not good) in your prayers then. And then for a smooth and quick recovery afterwards for me.

ok I have a huge prayer request - I think I might have put something on GC a few years ago about this but I couldn't find it so I will bring you up to date quickly - My sister did have Goodpastures syndrom and her kidneys are gone - she has been on dialysis (sp?) for 2 years now and we finally have a date for the transplant.

ok Kathy (my sister) and I will be going to the UAB hospital on August 19th for me to give her my kidney (my left kidney to be exact)

Its all kind of surreal (sp?) but it has taken a while to finally get a date and I would really appreciate all of the prayers I can get.

I love attention so I will answer any questions plus I am trying to twitter things about it too. And, I make lots of updates on facebook http://www.facebook.com/conniebama

Sisters, I had been thinking about Connie a lot lately, and saw that this was her last post here. Has anyone heard from her? I pray all went well!
