OK Sisters - (first forgive the spelling)
I am not one to post "family" issues - I try to stick with ADPi stuff (lately anyway) but I do have a prayer request
My "blood/real" sister has been in the hospital the past few weeks and they finally diagnosed her with "good pasture syndrome." This is pretty bad and she is taking it as well as she can - what this is, is an auto immune "thing" where these "good pasture" antibodies are "attacking" her kidneys . . . anyway her kidneys have all but shut down and now she is on dialysis along with blood transfusions plus platelate fusion. (history: she is 42 years old with 2 sons - 1 13 and 1 6 months)
So, pray for the doctors to be able to figure out how to STOP these bad antibodies and for her to have a peace about her life and know what GOD has in store for her and our family.
Hopefully - and this would be ok - this syndrome will go into a remission and the doctors will look to the family for a new kidney - if I match then I would give my kidney other wise we have a large family and surely someone will match
THANKS IN ADVANCE - Loyally, Connie

Connie - any update? I pray that everything is working toward the best situation possible.
Update from me - things are getting a little better: I passed the test, the party is over, and classes are almost done.
I still could use prayers as I finish up my last assignments, but I REALLY ask for prayers for myself and close friends from church. We just got word last night/this morning that a friend was killed in a car accident yesterday morning, and it's hitting a number of us very hard. He was 2 years behind me in school, so he was about 24 when he passed away. Please just keep his family and our church family in your prayers as we try to understand and cope with this sudden loss, especially as we enter this joyful time of the year.

Well, my update for my sister is . . .
She is "home" now (home is in quotes because she is living with my mother) - she will be going through alot this next year - with plasma farisious (I don't know how to spell that) plus Blood fusions plus Dialysis she will be in some sort of medical contraption every day but Sunday -
The doctors have said that the best case scenario is for the Blood Fusions and Plasma things to work so that they can "talk" about a Transplant in about a year and a half (again that is best case) Soo, until then she will be going through Dialysis to do the work of her kidneys -
Prayers are still requested and appreciated for my sister and my mother and my 2 nephews to ask God to help them through all of these changes.
Loyally
Connie

I pray that everyone finds peace and good health (physical & emotional) in the next few days - we have really been under attack! It always seems to happen at this time of year - next week will be the anniversary of my best friend committing suicide. I keep wondering if I could have done something, yet everyone thought I had gone above and beyond. I hope the Lord thinks so, because I still love him and miss him beyond words.

This a little different of a prayer request but my boyfriend is speaking to his boss as I write this about a full time position. He has been working as a contractor for them for almost 8 months now and it would mean a lot to him if they offered him a full time job. I'm so nervous for him so if you could please keep your fingers crossed I'd appreciate it!!

I'm not going to go into details for privacy issues, but EXiADPi is having a family concern right now. So if everyone could please keep Carrie in their thoughts along with her family that would be great.

A very good friend of mine (and the mother of my godson) lost her husband a year ago last month. Sandy's still in California (not a native), and is trying hard to let the Lord lead her as to whether they should stay there or not. Her one son is giving her a hard time, as he wants to stay, but Sandy really wants to be in the Will of God. I admire her strength, especially after all she's been through, but she truly needs prayer concerning this matter. Thank you so much to all who pray!

I'm having surgery on my left hand tomorrow. Not major surgery, but general anesthesia nonetheless. Maybe because I'm a righty, I didn't think too much about being one-handed for 6 weeks. Last THU, reality hit - driving, dressing, drying my hair, oh my! - and I totally freaked for days... Today, I'm calm and ok with it. When I feel the panic coming, I pray. I hope by posting this, someone will have me in her prayers if I get too panicy tomorrow.

I've hit a rough spot. Please pray for me to find calmer waters. Thank you!

This isn't a serious prayer request but I ust got the e-mail for Continental so think/ pray for me to get the flight attendant position. My tentative date for my interview is Feb. 14. Yes Valentine's Day which is pretty lucky for me, just not love wise, just like Friday the 13, which is not an option this month. I love my job and the fact I'm in Phoenix but I just need an upgrade but mostly a new company.
Lets also pray that my wonderful company decides to keep me in base for awhile instead of sending me to Chicago every other week to just sit in the O'Hare airport and do an hour flight turn to Green Bay or one leg to Charlotte.

So I've had a fever of 100+ for what will be 5 days today. My drs office was closed all wkend but I did talk to the oncall nurse who ensured me that it would pass on its own as long as I drink a lot and rest. Since its day #5 and it hasnt gone down I'm started to get worried so the minute they open up I'm going to make an appointment. I really hope its nothing serious because I cant afford to miss anymore work! Please keep me in your thoughts today because I'm sick of being sick...

Let's keep our sisters at Virginia Tech in our thoughts and prayers today - I can't even begin to understand what they must be feeling right now.

This was released today on our national website concerning the shootings at Virginia Tech:
We are following the event of the shootings at this university. While we have no confirmation, there maybe a possibility that some of our members could be involved. We ask each of you to keep all of these victims in your thoughts and prayers.
Please keep our Eta Pi sisters and their families and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

My heart hurts, not only for what is happening but because I feel guilty for crying over my sisters instead of for the other people unaccounted for.
