my favorites were definitely vonzell & bo.

my least favorites were carrie (she looked way too uncomfortable on stage, and her singing was blah... plus, enough with the big hair already... it looks like it's going to eat her alive one day!), scott (yikes! can you please go home already?), and anthony (blah blah blah).

my bottom 3 predictions are scott, anthony and anwar... i hope i hope that scott finally goes home.. sheesh, it's been a long time a'comin'!

i didn't particularly like constantine either... eyeliner on a guy just doesn't do it for me.

ok it just came on for us west coasters.....

my skin is crawling b/c of constantine....and I just couldn't help it, but those pants are oh so just a hint of package and the eye wink......this is so bad

the producers really want this guy as the new idol

Constanscream - I missed part of his song, but what I heard was nothing special.

Carrrie - seemed off pitch at times. I'm not a big fan of that version of the song.

Scott - while it was a better effort tonight, he just has no personality whatsoever.

Anthony - I never heard that song before, it was ok, but nothing special.

Vonzell - was probably pretty good but the background singers were SO LOUD that I couldn't tell much.

Anwar - fun song and he looked like he was having a good time with it, but again the background singers were TOO LOUD!!!

Bo - once again, it was his kind of song and he did a good job.

I'm saying bye-bye Harry Potter.

Out of the 7, his performance was the most real, authentic, recording artist type one. Everyone else looked like they were either doing karaoke or were just trying to be cool, but never succeding.
Constatine is just gross.
Carrie- as much as I loved her previously, I didn't like tonights performance at all.
My wishful thinking bottom 3 would be Scott, Anthony and Constantine.
Probably bottom 3: Scott, Carrie and Anwar with Scott going home.

I thought they all did ok. Didn't care much for Anthony's performance, but it didn't make me cringe. Much as I like Anwar, I think it's about time for him to go. Scott doesn't bother me and I thought he did well last night. But...

am I the only one who wants to see Carrie go?? She is like a statue on stage. I thought Simon hit it on the head when he said it was like "Barbie meets Stepford Wife". I thought the same thing! (scary!). She has a good voice, but I don't want to see her win this thing.

Now that a couple of us have commented on it, do the producers and directors not notice that the background singers and at times the orchestra are WAY TOO LOUD??? How can you miss something like that? Don't you have ears??

Did anyone else notice the highlights? Seriously that is a first for me. I have NEVER seen a man with highlights.

And also, like some have mentioned, what was with the eyeliner?



Now to Carrie...

I didn't really like the song she chose but she did a good job in my book. I love her as a singer. I think she will be in the top three and might win this thing.

But I'm adding Clay Aiken to the list. Pretty much every guy that has gone on that show has come out with some new hairdo... for some reason the stylists think HIGHLIGHTS are the great thing. It looks good on some guys... Ryan and Clay for example... because it just works for them. Constantine? His rocker image just flew out the window unless they were highlights a la James Iha, formally of Smashing Pumpkins.

Hell I think Justin Gualrini (sp?) had them too. It's a 19E thing.

Don't forget Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day, who probably made it famous in this day and age, and who Constantcrap was trying to imitate. Being Green Day is so popular now. But I have yet to watch it so it should be a fun Wednesday.

Tonight's pimpmercial might be for haircolor. Remember that they did that last year, and showed everyone getting their highlights done on the Wednesday show? Looks great on some, not so great on others.

Concur. I LOVE guys in eyeliner (yes, weird) but when he came out on stage I practically gagged. I like his voice but he's strange-looking as all hell and I'm mad he ruined my boys-in-eyeliner fantasy.

Early spoilers/speculations are pointing to Anwar getting booted... just to comfort the blow in case it happens. I still want Scott to go home... a lot.

I finally watched my tape.

Connie - eyeliner=bad, suit=worse. However, he sounded okay when I closed my eyes. Perhaps if someone gave him a paper bag...

Carrie - Dude... I listened to the lyrics closely after I've read what the song is about... it IS about a cake. WTF??? Extensions=really bad.

Scott - listened for a bit and then hit fast forward

Anthony - Hello Euro Dance! That was Grade A Velveeta Easy Cheese there. And I'm sorry... he wasn't doing any latin dancing.

Vonzell - LOVED IT just because she can pull that stuff off. And be cute about it.

Anwar - he wasn't boring for once. In fact I really like that song. I don't know about all the dance moves though. Especially the finishing pose... it was interesting. But he wasn't boring so that's good.

Bo - Ok... so there was this radio promo the CHP did or something about drinking and driving and getting a DD. Well they used that song for the promo... except instead of saying "I'll take you anywhere..." it said "I'm your designated driver..." Beyond cheesy commercial and I couldn't get that out of my head while he was singing. But I still liked it regardless.

Bottom 3: Scott, Anwar and Diet Clay.
Scott should go home but Anwar probably will.
