She sure hasn't! That thick hair of hers is stopping the common sense that most of us have from getting into that skull of hers! What is it going to take for her to learn her lesson?

Derek is "too clingy" for her.
Javon does not cling enough.
And Curtis is not her type.
Joan should have just got with Big Girly Hips Marcus or moved to NYC with Shawn.

She's needs a William-type, but not William....

LAAAAAAAAWWDD Hammercy, I can't believe she was desperate enough to fall for that line. But this is what he really meant:
Javon: "I'm sorry, I didn't call you but I had more important women to play. You are on the list, just not at the top of the list. Look, I only came over for one reason and that was get occupy my Oscar Myer Weiner until I can get in touch with my higher ranking women or my wife, whichever one comes through first. Now where to?"
Why is this fool acting like he's driving a luxury taxi cab???
Toni is moreso jealous of Joan I think because Joan is baby free. Nothing wrong with being a Mama, but Toni's ripping and running came to a screeching hault when Morgan was born. However, in Toni's defense even when she was "all about herself" she was still hanging tough with Joan more than Joan is hanging with her.

In the early 90's, Claude Brooks was on this HILARIOUS show called "True Colors", where this black man with two sons married a white woman with a daughter, and the comedy that ensued as a result. He was the older son...the younger son was straight JOKES! The show was funny - I think his name was Terry on the show...

As for Toni and Joan's "beef"...
Toni has been the spoiled, self-absorbed friend (don't we all have one?) for their entire relationship, and Joan has been the friend who accepts and deals with it. Toni has left Joan in a lurch, igged her over a man and her career, the works...but now we're supposed to feel sorry cuz Joan won't be her whipping post anymore? I think not. Toni has always been the AXIS, expecting everyone to revolve around her, and the girls have always accepted her extreme self-obsession. Now that Joan actually has things (however stupid) of her own going on, Toni can't accept it. Maya and that idiot Lynn are enabling Toni, trying to convince Joan that she needs to "be a friend", jump back into the rotation, and start idolizing Toni again...
Joan has NEVER had a life, so now she doesn't know how to handle it. She has NO IDEA how to deal with any man, much less a man like Javon. She has NO CLUE how to deal with a man with game, or more than one man at once. That's why she's PLAYING HERSELF. She'll end up with NO man, trust.
Bottom line: Toni simply CANNOT HANDLE being outside of the spotlight. Joan has always revolved around Toni. Toni was married with a husband, child, and fabulous career...now she's a broke, single mom in the middle of a messy divorce - NOT her plan. Toni was "Oprah"...Joan was "Gayle", and now the tables have turned and Toni can't handle the switch.
"I lost my phone with your numbers"...if that ain't the OLDEST one in the book, LOL. It's TOO MANY WAYS to find someone's number nowadays...I mean, at LEAST come up with a good lie, dang dude! Joan has NO PLAYER SKILLS WHATSOVER. That's why I am giggling over her AND Toni playing themselves.
Joan will crash and burn, ending up manless and right back in Toni's orbit.

PUH-LEEZE - Joan was the president of the Toni Fan Club - that's why Toni "hung tough" with her.
Remember when Toni was supposed to get stuff to donate for Joan's silent auction and left her in a lurch?
Remember when Toni got mad and blamed Joan when she got busted cheatin' on her man?
Please...don't nobody feel sorry for Toni.
Toni is jealous of Joan, and she has NO IDEA how to react because she's always been too self absorbed to be jealous of anyone. She can't handle jealousy.
I have no sympathy for Toni. She just wants Joan around to be her babysitter/idol worshipper/flunkie. She needs to let it go and be happy for her gurl. But she can't do that...she doesn't know how to celebrate anyone's successes but her own.
She's funny to me.

Those Black fur boots? Nope not ignoring them. You know I hate those things. Looking like she should have a role in Ice Age.

That's it. I was too busy last night to IMDB.com it. It was a great show and I remember it came on Sunday nights.

As UGLY as I think those furry things are on anyone, they looked kinda, sorta cute on her. I liked that whole black outfit she donned.
@ NoChaser, I just feel a wee bit and ONLY a wee bit sorry for Toni, but she's trying to make it seem as though she has no life and she could really still have one. What I didn't care for is as much as the three of them did, why are they trying to make Joan feel guilty for her new life or better said, the way she is "treating" Toni?? with that "now I know you know better" attitude. Her and Toni are definitely going to come to a head sooner or later.

I agree wholeheartedly with nochaser3. I don't feel sorry for Toni. At least, not yet.

I don't remember the show.
I like your "bottom line" synopsis.

I agree with everything you said. Toni has to now live in the real world like the rest of us. Raise her child on her own, think about someone other than herself, and finally to realize that she is not the center of the universe. Joan doesn't need her anymore and that I think is more than she can swallow.
I'm glad that Joan has finally gotten a life. She has never had the opportunity to be the one that everybody wants to be with. Sadly, I can already see where this is heading for her

Anyone catch Half & Half afterwards?
The ending where Mona proceeded to trash her bedroom after breaking up with what's-his-name (you can tell I don't watch too much TV) was HILARIOUS!!!!
Was all of that necessary?????
If I'm pissed off, one of the LAST things I'm going to do is mess up MY OWN POSSESSIONS! What sense does that make?
She went and broke her headboard, broke all the things on her dresser, and slammed her laptop shut LOL!!
That's stupid, because after you're done throwing your temper tantrum up in your place, you have to sit and clean all that mess up!
