Admit it- do you play Sorority Life?

Umm...so "Dancing In Our Hearts"...is that an accessory, and if so, why? They are missing so many obvious things (pearl necklace, giant [bid day type] letters, lavaliere, designer purses) why go for something like THAT?

Although I did see a lavaliere in the new "Keepsake" section. I haven't decided what the heck that's about.

I put this in the Greek Life section of "finding your letters" but it could be appropriate for here, since this is the Sorority Life thread.


Ummmmm...Did anyone else notice that the "pledge backpack" you can wear has "Sigma Phi Epsilon" letters on it and the "Lavalier" has "Delta Sigma Theta" on it?


I thought they realized a long time ago that you can't be using letters of actual organizations on this game. I doubt many men of SigEp would appreciate their letters being placed on the backpack for a "sorority" sister on Sorority Life.

True but, if she is a Sigma Kappa (which some people have said she might be) you would think she would know the difference between sororities and fraternities. Sure, she shouldn't use ANY national GLOs, but to use a male fraternity just seems wrong....

I can't imagine any Deltas being okay with this, either. I doubt SigEps will be happy with this. That's funny, OTW-I was thinkin' about it and I thought, "I wonder what OTW and the rest of my girls on GC think about this."

I highly doubt she's an SK because she has nothing about it on her myspace page. The only SK chapter that is close by is at Berkeley but she has nothing about Berkeley on her myspace page either.

Plus "Carol" doesn't own SL anymore, at least not the myspace SL....playdom own it now.

and ETA: Can SL stop looking like mafia wars? I hope they don't do these changes on myspace.

That might explain a lot! I don't know much about playdom, but they are changing SL the way a corporate entity would change any product that they don't know anything about. The keepsakes, collections, etc. are so unnecessary and do nothing for me. Is it just me, or does the browser not respond when accessing the Glam tab? I'm using Firefox.

I think I may be another one biting the dust on SL. It's just not as fun as it used to be. Too much going on.

And using actual organizations' letters?! The developers are killing me.

SL is turning into a girly Mafia Wars. I only played Mafia Wars for like a day, but I remember seeing the "collections" and things like that. I'm pretty sure Playdom owns them too.

Soon we are gonna see that you have to "fight" the Chapter Advisor, or rival sorority President, or something like that

I've met girls who were completely oblivious to other NPC groups (much less other GLOs in other umbrella organizations) that weren't on their campus... but I'd also argue that she *must* be aware of other GLOs at least now if she had enough sense to take down Kappa Alpha Theta, DG, ADPi, etc from the top banner.

I try to keep my cash balance at $0 and keep everything deposited in the bank except for when I'm buying glam. This way when I get attacked, they may take confidence points, but they wont get my money.

This is the order I do things when I sign on...
1. Bank my $ (but I usually get slammed between signing on and getting to the bank)
2. Fight my confidence down to decrease the chance I'd get attacked
3. Socialize events
4. Bank money from events

Sweet. I just had someone pay over 2.5 mil to burn me. I don't remember fighting her, but I'm sure I did. I'm wondering if she was the one who didn't bank.

So now I've got a 6th depression, but every single person who fought me lost, so in all I think I broke even on the influence points. Seems kinda win-win for me, and lose-lose for her. I'll take it!

I'm the same on 1-3. I'm still building up big money glam (ie Hummers, D&G tie front dress, etc), so my fourth step has been to use my events monies, withdraw some more and buy more items. Fortunately, I have over 450+ dresses and Hummers, so I'm starting to win more when I'm attacked.

However, my browser is really locking up on me when I'm on the Glam tab. So, I might have to start just banking my event money.

What do you all think of the Collections and such? Having fun with it?
