When this thread was first created, Mizzou was indeed Big 12. They made the jump in 2012, as did Texas A&M.
Nebraska is in the Big 10 (B1G) now as well. The OP doesn't always get edited.

I've read the entire thread and haven't seen Northeastern mentioned anywhere. I know Northwestern is a school that certainly requires recommendations but Chicago and Boston are very different.

I've never heard Northeastern to require reqs. Helpful...maybe to jog the memory of a current member or if they pair the PNM with an active of similar interests, but not required.

Verbatim from FSU Panhellenic social media:

"Do we need to send in letters of recommendation?

A letter of recommendation is information about a Panhellenic potential new member (PNM) sent in by an alumna of a specific Panhellenic sorority to that sorority's headquarters and local Florida State chapter. these letters are in no way required and impacts the recruitment process minimally."

Check that capitalization and verb agreement.
But also: not entirely accurate since not all the chapters on the FSU campus require the letter writer to be an alumna of the organization.
And also: "minimally" is debatable.
