Frankly, ANT has become extremely CORNY!!!!!!!! The only ones that are doing anything are Mercedes and Eva. And Mercedes didn't even win.

The not so inconspicuous plugs for products has also contributed to the overall corniness level...I mean, geez!! Now you've got the contestants talking about..."wow, this lotion really does make my legs smooth.." I mean, come on!!!
But this is the inevitable downfall of any good show...the essence of it gets lost in advertising, plugs, and ratings...I liked the show when they were poor, in an LA flat, with one camera man! At least it was reality!

Product placement is becoming more and more common, and Proctor & Gamble (Cover Girl's parent) is REALLY blatant with it - as evidenced by the characters on Guiding Light eating mass amounts of Pringles for no reason.  I'd rather go back to the 1950's when they sat behind a big panel that said GERITOL and had the host plug the product for 5 minutes halfway through the show, rather than doing as they do on ANTM and thinking they are being subtle about it.

Let's not forget Adrian the first winner's speech was HORRIBLE! Didn't they give her a speech coach? But for some reason I think Jade is going to win.

I think it's because in the beginning, the prize was to be a model for a modeling agency and now, they have a Covergirl contract and part of that is doing commercials and speaking...

Let's not forget the episode where they showed them eating Special K Red Berries and Vanilla Almond for like a whole two minutes. It sounds like no time at all, but it was SOO out of place with the show. Then, you have some random plug like "I LOVE this Vanilla Almond!" Makes me  ....

Danielle needs to talk as slow as possible to correct her speech. Furonda was from the south - I think the same state and she does not speak like Danielle.
