50 CENT WARNS DR. DRE

50 Cent has proven that he’s willing to go to war against anybody. And the next target could be his own executive producer and Aftermath label CEO Dr. Dre. That’s right, the rapper told Tim Westwood of the BBC that if Dre works on The Game’s next album, the result will be beef.

“To my knowledge, neither me or Dr. Dre is working on Game’s next album,” 50 said on air. “If I’m not messing with him, how is Dre going to mess with him? Then that means me and Dre got beef. I think everybody sees my pattern.”

50 seems to pick a fight with anybody that stands next to his enemies, as he did with Fat Joe and Jadakiss after they guest appeared on the song “New York” alongside his longtime rival, Ja Rule. So now that Dr. Dre is already rumored to be working on The Game’s next album, tentatively titled The Doctor’s Advocate, it may mean beef between 50 and Dre.

BLACK ROB'S POSITIVE VIBES

Black Rob and Nation of Islam leader Minister Farrakhan on the same song? Sounds unlikely, but it’s exactly what Black Rob managed to pull off on “You Know What,” a politically charged song from his latest LP, The Black Rob Report.

The Bad Boy rapper explained why he allowed the public to see his conscious underbelly. “All my life I’ve been into the Five Percent Nation and studying up on the Muslims and different things. I was in the Five Percent Nation when I was younger and sometimes my mind is set to that,” he told BET.com, but recognized that people aren’t always receptive to messages. “I try to set a standard with my style so I won’t always be talking about negativity. I drop a lot of jewels [knowledge] but it’s up to you to understand and hear it.”

Despite the message on “You Know What,” Rob said he won’t end his street-oriented rap ways – he’s just diversifying.

“If I came back sounding like Fabolous or Mase, yall wouldn’t respect that. My fans would be like, ‘Is this B.R.? Oh, [he is] cotton candy, man. He’s a lollipop sucker. Wait until I see B.R., I’m gonna set the record straight,’” he said. “See, when you change your pitch up, sometimes it ain’t good. Ain’t nothing broke, so don’t fix it.”

FANTASIA SAYS SHE CAN READ – JUST NOT WELL

Fantasia Barrino, the 2004 American Idol winner, says reports of her illiteracy are highly exaggerated.

Fantasia made headlines when news program 20/20 announced the singer was illiterate. In the current issue of Jet magazine, Fantasia responds to the report.

"When it first came on it was like, ‘big secrets you have not learned about Fantasia. She can't read or write,’" she said in the magazine. "I was like, ‘Huh? That's not in my book.’"

In her book, “Life is Not a Fairy Tale," Fantasia maintains that she couldn't read back in school, but can now. "I don't say that I can't read or I can't write, I say I have trouble - that I'm not a strong reader. But I can write," Fantasia told Jet. "I'm not illiterate. I just have some struggles and some situations that I'm not strong in. Every chance I get to speak out about it, I'm going to clear it up and let them know that I am not a dummy. If I were a dummy I wouldn't be where I am today,” she finished.

Fantasia is currently on tour with Kanye West.

JEEZY’S BABY MOMMA DRAMA

The mother of Young Jeezy’s 9-year-old son is requesting more money in child support.

"Tynesha Dykes is living in an HUD project in rural Georgia and is currently receiving a mere $178 per month in child support," her lawyer Jim Rockefeller said in a statement. "Mr. Jenkins is one of the fastest rising hip-hop/rap performers on the Billboard Charts, with well over a million records in sales in the past year and a mansion in Atlanta. He lives in high style, tours the country and is in the close company of stars like Jay-Z and Beyonce.”
Dykes revealed her dire financial status and isn’t requesting $20,000 as reported by a number of outlets. But according to the lawyer, Jeezy lied about his income. “Jenkins denied owning a mansion, or any home, whatsoever, or even a car, for that matter. He also denied owning any jewelry, despite the fact that everywhere he appears he is wearing a huge diamond snowman pendant,” Rockefeller said.

Wrapping up, Rockefeller charged that his client only wanted a fair settlement of support based on Jeezy’s current income. He also stated that the rapper said he gets $35 daily in per diem spending money.

"This is yet another example of the misogynist hip-hop /rap culture bashing women and de-emphasizing the libertine lifestyles of its male stars. Ms. Dykes is not an opportunist, she is a loving mother who only wants a decent lifestyle for her son,” he concluded.

G-UNIT GIVES BACK

All the rap beefs that swirl around G-Unit haven’t stopped the crew from caring about the kiddies.

David “Young Buck” Brown, a member of 50 Cent’s G-Unit, recently gave away $25,000 to The Nashville Alliance for Public Education (NAPE), a company that raises money for the city’s public school system. Young Buck’s particular donation, given through 50’s G-Unity Foundation, will help high school students succeed in college.

"The Nashville Alliance for Public Education is proud to accept this gift from The G-Unity Foundation to benefit a program which brings out the best in students and helps close the achievement gap for low income and disadvantaged youth," said Kay Simmons, Co-Executive Director of the Nashville Alliance for Public Education. "This gift represents a statement from G-Unit and Young Buck of the importance of education."

Though Young Buck never finished high school, he did attend the Nashville school system. Every penny that Buck and others give goes directly to the schools in need and is traceable.

If 50 goes after Dre I hope he knows that's pretty much the end of his career. You do NOT have the clout to undermine Dre!!

I don't think he is thinking career wise. I think he is thinking about some "meet me on the playground after school" or "baddest man hit my hand" kinda stuff. Fiddy is CRAZY!! I can't believe he even fixed his mouth to say that!

Either way, 50 don't want none of Dr. Dre. Dude needs some medication, for real. This is getting way out of hand.

Talk about biting the hand that fed you.

Gabrielle Union's Bad Mood?

By Charlie Amter
Sat Oct 22,12:00 AM ET

So much for a happy birthday.

Gabrielle Union, who turns 32 on Oct. 29, has seen a scuttled party became a flashpoint between her high-powered PR firm and the owner of a hot Hollywood nightclub.

An email written by publicist Holly Shakoor of BWR Public Relations was quickly disseminated around Industry in-boxes Friday. In the missive, Shakoor, who represents the Bring It On actress, urges a boycott of Club Mood because of owner David Judaken's alleged racist comments targeted at Union--an episode akin to the infamous Hermes dissing of Oprah Winfrey earlier this year.

"I think you should all be aware of an incident that occurred with my client Gabrielle Union and the owner of Mood," the message begins.

"Mood was going to host her birthday party which is a week away. Once the owner found out she was African American he not only cancelled her party but he proceed to say that he 'didnt' [sic] realize Gabrielle Union was black. I thought she was the white volleyball player. I don't want her kind of people in my club.'

"I want to make you all aware of this so you can discourage your celeb clients from going and also doing any events with him."

Judaken, reached via phone Friday, vigorously denied the account in the email, calling Shakoor's characterization of their discussion "completely false."

"All the statements written in her email are untrue," he said. "To say that this event was canceled over race or creed is hurtful and slanderous."

The South African-born owner of the flashy club says he is considering legal action against the Beverly Hills-based PR firm, saying his reputation may have already been damaged by the publicist's claims and the proposed boycott. "This has an immediate negative impact on my business," he said.

BWR, for its part, released a statement late Friday seemingly backing off the call for publicists to discourage celebrity clients from booking events at the hotspot. "The information you have received via email was inadvertently forwarded from an interoffice email," the statement says.

"The interoffice email was relaying third hand information that we received regarding a client. This email was sent within the office and not intended to be forwarded outside of the company. It by no means reflects our official position on this matter. We expect this matter to be amicably resolved between the parties concerned."

Meanwhile, Judaken's rep, Greg Rogers, suggested a mea culpa was in order, saying the club owner "and his legal counsel are dealing with Ms. Shakoor and her public statements made on behalf of BWR Public Relations. They expect both a timely public apology, as well as a complete retraction of these statements."

According to Judaken, the dust-up between Union's rep and the club stems from his decision to book another event at his club the night Union and BWR had set aside for the actress' birthday blow-out.

Judaken says he simply got a more lucrative offer from another party looking to do an event at the club on the same date. He claims the Union party was "never finalized in writing or otherwise."

He also says he recognized Union (and didn't confuse her with volleyball star/model Gabrielle Reece) and his decision had nothing to do with her race.

Caught in the middle, Union has not commented on the brouhaha over her birthday bash.

The Nebraska native, who was the first African-American love interest on NBC's Friends back in 1994, currently stars in ABC's supernatural drama Night Stalker. She's also set to appear with Gwyneth Paltrow in the film Running with Scissors, which is due in theaters next year.

Cam'ron is recuperating after being shot early Sunday morning in what appears to be a failed carjacking attempt, according to the rapper's representatives.

A spokesperson and a source within the the MC's Diplomats camp have confirmed Cam'ron.

was shot around 2:10 a.m. Sunday morning (October 23) in Washington, D.C. However, police have refused to release any details or even confirm the shooting as of press time.

Cam'ron was driving away from the popular D.C. nightclub H2O in his blue Lamborghini when an unknown number of men tried to carjack him, according to the rapper's camp. They pulled up in their own vehicle and demanded Cam turn over his car.

When Cam'ron did not cooperate, they fired multiple shots inside the car, shattering glass and hitting Cam'ron once in each arm, according to his rep. The leader of the Diplomats was taken to a nearby hospital and is said to be resting and doing fine.

Cam'ron has generally avoided keeping a team of security guards around him. He can often be spotted in New York by himself or with a few friends, cruising in one of his vehicles, shopping or signing autographs.

The rapper was in D.C. participating in the festivities surrounding Howard University's homecoming this weekend. He's promoting his new movie and album, both called "Killa Season" and due in February.
