Thumbs up

I just saw Andrienne on the Live with Regis and Kelly talk show (No, I don't have a job...lol) and she actually looked good. I mean she really looked like a model. The girl had a nice tan going on like she had been lounging in Brazil or some place. Her hair was nice and shiny. No more of the choppy extensions. And best of all, she opened her mouth when she was talking!!!! I mean you could actually understand what she was saying. She didn't sound like a druggie anymore. She said that she had spent a lot of time since the show working on her speech. Time well spent!

Re: It is finished!

LMBOOOOOO@the Keebler Elf, I definitely didn't want Adrienne to win at all. I wanted Kesse to win before they gave her the unfair boot, but would have settled for Shannon.

Glad that Adrienne won!

I'm glad that Adrienne won. Although I don't care for most of her antics and her unladylike behavior, it seems like she is going to take care of her mother and put the money towards a better life (I hope!!)

I think Elyse was shocked that she didn't make the final two. I can't believe how snooty she acted throughout the entire process!

And, can I just say that Janice looked AWFUL in the entire last episode. I mean, truly HORRID!!!

I will watch season 2! When does it start????

Yeah, Janice was at her worse last night. I was CTFU at the end when Adrienne went over to thank her and Janice said, "But I didn't vote for you." At least she was consistent throughout, LOL.

Elise was so full of it the entire time trying to pretend like it was soooooo beneath her and that she really didn't care if she won Entertainment Tonight said that she plans on modeling for a year, then going to med school. Yeah right!

I was rooting for Adrienne at the end, because I felt that Shannon couldn't do it until I saw her WORK that runway! Homegirl was FIERCE! I do think she needs a little time to grow and develop her own personality and independance. Without Momma Robin there she calmed down a bit and even said something like she could have fun then. If was like she was afraid of Robin. I think she might end up compromising some of her values if she gets out there too much.

What is J Alexander's role in life? He makes me sick with his facial expressions! Why was he about to have a fit because Shannon had never eaten sushi? Heck, neither have I and I ain't tryin to eat no RAW fish! YUCK! LOL

Shannon: YOU BETTER WORK IT GIRL!!!!!! I really hope that Kimora Lee Simmons hook you up with a Baby Phat contract, cuz you did the dayum thing on that runway!!!!!!

I wasn't too upset that Adrianne was the chosen one. They were really able to transform her from a tomboy to a model. I thought she was gonna fall out when she found out it was her that won the competition.

Can't wait until next season.
Yeah...everything that you said. I knew that child was going to win and I'm happy for her. She looked like she was about to faint when she saw her picture.

Shannon WORKED that runway....OMG I was so surprised. Go girl. She'll be picked up by someone.

THANK YOU. The whole time I am thinking why is he looking like that?? He had absurd facial expressions for everything. Like dude, you are wearing heels and prancing down the runway. YOU are not the one that should be looking at people funny.

And the little boy(lol) speaks...

Nobody who watched UPN's America's Next Top Model thinks Elyse Sewell is crushed by losing to gal pal Adrianne. "Too bad!" the pixie-coifed lady laughs to TV Guide Online. "I lost!" Anyway, this 20-year-old was always more jazzed to be a doctor than a supermodel. FYI, she's been accepted to med school down South, but she's deferred for one year to shake her moneymaker (i.e. modeling for tuition cash). Here, she dishes Tuesday's Model showdown, life in the reality fishbowl and that pesky Robin.

TV Guide Online: Did you know you'd lose?
Elyse: I definitely had a feeling I wouldn't win, from the beginning. When the judges called Shannon first, and then Adrianne and I went up together, I knew they'd pick Adrianne. Just because of how the judging session had gone that day. I wasn't trying as hard as they were — and the judges got wind of that. I already had my bags packed before the elimination session. It was hard to concentrate on the competition when I was so unhappy with the circumstances. I was out of my element.

TVGO: Why so unhappy?
Elyse: It was such close quarters, living with all those girls and the cameras. I'm an introvert and need my alone time. Even in the bathroom, 90 percent of the time, we weren't alone!

TVGO: Who did you have the most problems with?
Elyse: Robin. She had her [religious] proselytizing thing going on. And she was loud and the most insistent on always getting her way. The producers of the show even catered to Robin more than the rest of us, so we did "Robin things" more than anything else we wanted to do.

TVGO: Why would producers cater to her?
Elyse: Just because Robin was so vocal, demanding and felt so entitled. She was the only one who demanded to talk to the executive producer this instant because she wanted to go tanning. (Groans) Stuff like that really isn't as important to me as it is to Robin.

TVGO: A fan asks... "Robin often criticized you for being an atheist. Do you believe all Christians are this judgmental and hypocritical?"
Elyse: No, of course not! I think Robin is a terrible representative of the Christian population. I don't know any Christians like Robin. I definitely don't disrespect all Christians. Immediately, Robin expressed her offense with people changing clothes in front of her and cussing in front of her. She and her coalition separated themselves. They also insisted on having quiet time to read the Bible everyday, which nobody else was really interested in, so that contributed to the divide.

TVGO: Robin also had a problem with your lesbian housemate, Ebony. Did she offend any gay professionals working on the show?
Elyse: I never heard her disapprove of homosexuality to anyone who could advance her career. But Robin must have known we were surrounded by gay people all day, every day. She should never have said anything. I think she should bite her tongue all the time.

That crap was as corny and full of lies as her "I don't have an eating disorder" statement...

I rally don't belive any of what she said, come on this is the same girl who said at the end when she was voted off that " once she leaves the show her modeling career was over" Yeah right, hopefullyu the fashion industry wll be put off by the way she acted on this show? Probably not since she fits the mold of a "haute couture model" !

Question Is it just me or did this columnist go into this interview with an attitude

The Interview

Robin Manning was our least favorite model on America's Next Top Model. We didn't care for her preaching, bible-reading ways. She was just a touch too holier-than-thou. So interviewing her was a bit surreal. She was very much the southern lady (I could have done without being called ma'am) and spun the tale of her personality in an expert way. If you hadn't watched the show you would almost love her. But...... I had been watching the show. Love wasn't quite the emotion I was feeling.

When I flat out asked her about her seeming "Preachy, snotty, stubborn and bitchy at times", Robin quickly responded with "That's called good editing." Robin explained that they pretty much became a character. It was a character based on their true personalities, but blown up. Does she reads the bible all of the time? "Yes. But do I do other things, too? Yes."

Ahh - maybe I'd get her on the vanity question. If vanity is a sin, why model? Isn't that a contradiction? "If you're a model it doesn't mean that you think you're 'all that'. You don't perceive yourself as the best. A Supermodel can be humble. It's a chance to travel the world and learn things." Mmm hmmm. Still seems like a vain career if you ask me.

Robin hadn't modeled professionally before. She had done a few fashion shows, etc. A friend talked her into trying for the show as a favor to him. As one of the chosen finalists, she moved into the house with the intention of becoming a role model for woman of all sizes, shapes and colors. Yep - this size 6 (sometimes an 8) chick is considered a Plus Size model. That thought alone is enough to make me sick. She's a size 6! Yowza! Something is a bit screwed up in the modeling world - but that is another rant.......

The entire experience was more than Robin had hoped for. She does admit that if she had known there would be nudity she wouldn't have done it. But overall the experience was more than she had expected. "There was more hands-on experience. I learned a lot." She has no regrets and wouldn't change anything. Although the trip to Paris wasn't the greatest time. It isn't what she wants to be remembered for. But hey - those were great episodes! Of course we're going to remember those.

Reality vs. Real life. No, Elyse and Adrienne didn't hate the bible-thumpers according to Robin. She also went on to say how funny Adrienne was, and how she liked living with all of the girls. "It wasn't as catty as you would think. There was no time to be catty."

Robin most enjoyed working with the acting coach, and hopes to work more in the acting field. She isn't sure if she'll pursue modeling. "I'll see what comes my way." As for who will win? "I pray Miss Shannon wins. She is really sweet and deserves it. But Lord has his reasons for whoever wins."

Oh Lord.
