Finally!!! After all these years...it's about to be ON!
R Kelly is going to trial...after all this time and all these records he has made, he should have more than enough money to do just ok!!!
And I will be damned if another In the Closet series appears!!
Oh yeah...here is the report:
R. Kelly Trial: Woman To Testify That She Had Sexual Encounter With Kelly And Girl In Videotape
By Jem Aswad (MTV.com)
A woman will testify at R. Kelly's upcoming child-pornography trial that she had a three-way sexual encounter with Kelly and the allegedly underage girl shown in the videotape at the center of the case, the Chicago Sun-Times reported on Saturday (May 3). Jury selection for the long-delayed case is scheduled to begin Friday.
In the case, prosecutors claim to have identified the girl in the videotape, who is now in her 20s. Kelly's lawyers are planning to argue - and the alleged victim will reportedly testify - that she is not the girl in the tape, according to the Sun-Times.
But the new witness could weaken that defense, since she will identify the girl - and claim the girl was underage - sources reportedly told the paper.
"She was involved in a threesome with [the girl] and R. Kelly," one source reportedly said.
Lawyers involved in the case declined to comment to the paper, citing a gag order. The witness' testimony was among the items discussed in secret hearings last month before Judge Vincent Gaughan, who closed the hearings to the public and sealed many court filings (several news organizations have attempted to unseal the proceedings and documents). At one of those hearings, Gaughan said the new testimony would be admissible at trial, sources said.
Kelly was charged with 21 counts of child pornography in 2002 (seven of which were later dropped) for allegedly videotaping himself having sex with a girl prosecutors said was 14 years old at the time; he pleaded not guilty

CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) -- It took six years to get to trial, but a jury has acquitted R&B singer R. Kelly of child pornography after less than a day of deliberations.
Judge Vincent Gaughan is scheduled to read the verdict later Friday afternoon.
The jury of nine men and three women includes the wife of a Baptist preacher from Kelly's Chicago-area hometown, as well as a compliance officer for a Chicago investment firm and a man in his 60s who emigrated from then-Communist Romania nearly 40 years ago.
As they left the courtroom to deliberate, jurors took the sex tape at the center of the trial with them, and a monitor was set up in the jury room in case they wanted to review it.
Kelly is charged with 14 counts of videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl, who prosecutors say was as young as 13. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison. He would also have to register as a sex offender in Illinois.
The 41-year-old superstar, who has pleaded not guilty, was charged in 2002. His trial was repeatedly delayed, once because the judge seriously injured himself falling off a ladder and another time because Kelly had emergency surgery to remove his appendix.

At what point does personal resposibility become a factor in this equation? I see piss comin' I run. She saw piss comin' she stayed. And why should I miss out on the next R. Kelly album JUST fo' that?

Uh...if this lawsuit was about a grown woman consensually being pissed on, you'd have a point. I won't ask how often you've seen piss comin', btw.
I don't listen to RKelly music beyond what the radio station plays. He definitely became more talented, made better music, and more handsome as he aged. I still only like a couple of his songs: "Did you ever think..." and "Fiesta." I think that's it.

I am guessing in addition to not listening to R Kelly's music, you don't watch the Boondocks either...am I correct?

Awww, Riley. Everyone's favorite little gangsta.
I'm not surprised at all. This should have been an airtight case. The proof is the video, right? But, another weak prosecution led to a celebrity acquittal. Our tax dollars at work, everyone.

Ok, I'll admit it, but I was DUPED!
I'm soooo late on this, but back to the original post:
If an adult woman and an adult man have a threesome with an underaged child, why is he the only pedophile? He's a pedophile, and she's a star witness. I'll admit that I saw a piece of the video. A guy friend gave it to me labeled as Madea's Family Reunion & told me to watch it. As soon as I saw what it was, I turned it off & called to give him a few choice words. He thought it was hilarious. I failed to find the humor. I'm not really a porn fan, and I definitely don't want to watch a child have sex. However, from the few seconds I saw, I don't recall another woman being in it. That means that the jury is just supposed to take her word for it? I would imagine that anyone who saw the tape & knows the youngster could identify her. To me, that key witness strategy sounded flimsy anyway.

Agreed. I'm disturbed by some people's responses to the verdict on this thread, actually.

On the real, I had to check to see if it was April Fool's Day and not Friday the 13th. It's amazing.
