Sig was at the opening of the Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga out here either last year or the year before that. I can't quite remember. From what I have heard from a friend who attended, the place was mobbed and he had lines of folks wanting autographs.

i walked into a book store the other day and saw several books out either by or about the people in show.
i think i heard something about a reality show being done involving all the shows done by the production company. getting regular people to do what is done in the shows. anyone else hear about this? i think it may be showing on nbc.

OMG, I wish I had known -- I am only about 30 minutes from there. My husband would have waited all day to see Sig. That's his favorite captain! What a bummer to have missed it!

Thanksgiving this year will feature opelio and King crab in honor of the brave men who provide us with this delicious treat from the sea. (and in honor of those who were lost. I'm still in awe how a whole boat and it's crew can just disappear like that! Gotta respect the sea and her power.)

R.I.P. to the lost members of the crew of the Katmai that went down.

Poor relief Captain Murray. I hope he finds crabs soon.

It was a sad episode to watch. I kept tearing up when they kept talking about the lost fishermen of the Katmai. They were all so young.

Also, I wonder when Sig finally tells his crew about them since he was adamant about not giving the bad news to his crew.

Finally, I was sad that I didn't see my Hillstrand boys on this episode. I always look forward to seeing them in an episode.

I love this show. I laughed at Phil's son (the oldest) lighting his cigarette with the blowtorch. I like them getting the mohawks for good luck but I still feel bad for Murray and the crappy crab season he's had. I miss Phil.

I think Murray's missing Phil too. Poor guy just can't get on the crab.

Did anyone else catch Cash Cab about two weeks ago? It was on right before Deadliest Catch and a whole bunch of the Captains and deckhands were in the cab for charity. It was so strange seeing the boys in New York City. Ben asked them so many ship, ocean and navigation questions and they kept getting them wrong. I'll have to check if it's on youtube.

On another note...Deadliest Catch Marathon on Memorial Day!

I watched! I didn't watch Season 1 & 2 when they first aired so now I'm caught up.

King Crab season is over. Now it's time for opie's! Woohoo! More of the Harris boys for me to fantasize about. The more I watch, the more I find Josh and Jake sexy...especially Josh. *drool*

I also got a kick out of watching the Hillstrands fishing in Cabo while everyone else was sweating out the season to get those crabs. Sig speaking to his Norweigan counterparts threw me but it was pretty cool.

Mike can't believe how addicted to the show I am. It's pretty funny to him. *shrugs* I don't know how or why I got into it but I now I'm a huge fan.

Ooh! Please do take a picture! I told Mike the Harris brothers are on my list now. He just rolled his eyes at me and wished me luck with that.

Yay for Lenny retiring! I was happy for him but I hope that Keith gets someone good to replace him.

As for Jake, I will stare with you. He's just dreamy. *sigh*

Now I'm getting visuals of the Harris boys and Jake Anderson...

Phil Harris, Captain of the F/V Cornelia Marie suffered a stroke while off-loading.

No further information is out at this time. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his sons during this time. I'm so sad and I truly hope he's o.k.

I like Phil, too, but when he recovers..I don't think his doctors will allow him to work. He may have no choice but to retire.
