Definite child of the 80's, graduated high school in 85.

Want to talk about feeling old. One of our city councilmen sent out a flyer asking for donations to purchase new uniforms for the band since the uniforms were older then most of the band members. At first I was like, what is he talking about, I remember when those uniforms were bought back in 84. Then it hits me that makes the uniforms 17 years old and they are older then most of the band members. ARGH!!!!

Speaking of Duran Duran,

I saw their Video"White Lines" with Grandmaster Flash last Night on MTV2's Old School Hip Hop.

Well I guess I fall in this category now...... sigh

I graduated HS in 93, ended up doing a number of class B deployements through the reserves (3-6 month tours or courses), then decided to get an education (well my knees decided ).

So i'm 30 and I'm an active (last year) in my chapter...... a little akward sometimes, but I'm getting by

I LOVE JELLY SHOES!!! where on earth did you find that picture??? in the first grade, i was playing on the playground (otherwise known as the church parking lot), ran through a grassy area....and then back on to the pavement and proceeded to slide across the pavement on my knees. one of the 8th grade boys had to carry me upstairs to the office to get it cleaned up...and i still have the scar to prove it! would you believe that i never stopped wearing them....lol...and going to catholic school, you always had to wear knee highs. imagine jelly shoes with knee high socks...lol

did you know that jelly bracelets are back?? i got some for my friends!

You are all forgetting the Flashdance look. Cut up sweatshirt so one shoulder was bare and the leg warmers over the VERY tight designer jeans.

High school class of '83, pledged in January '84, Initiated April '84.

40 something is coming too quickly!

Even though I'm still a few years from 30, I remember jelly shoes! I never had any 'cause my mommy thought they were tacky, but I wanted some so badly.

I had to chime in and represent. I graduated H.S. in 1988 and if I had a magic wand, I would have pledged in Sept 1988. Alas, 'twas not to be. But I am just chiming in to echo the Duran Duran sentiments (and let's not forget Howard Jones, The Thompson Twins, Talk Talk, etc.)

Flashdance look

Oh, good grief!

Remember those so tight jeans that actually had zippers in the legs so that you could get them over your feet?

Old...school... HIP HOP?!?!? The frack? Even though I think it rates as one of the coolest covers ever, their version is SO not hip hop.

Allow me to wish all of you "youngsters" a Happy Holiday.

Funny, but my 30's didn't have much of an effect on me. The 80's and 90's just seemed to flow by.

Now the 60's!!!

I got a serious question.....

Should I be worried over the fact that I get turned on by older women, such as women in their 30s. I'm being serious. More and more I find myself looking at the women who are in their early to late/mid 30s. I often wonder what what the sex would be like with them and how nice their boobs look without a shirt on. And I can't figure out why I get turned on by them. I don't know if its the fact that I know those women are in their sexual prime right now or if it stems from me banging a professor in Tampa who was 30 when I was 20. I mean sure, I got used for sex by her...but damn if that woman didnt teach me all kinds of stuff. Have any of you women heard of or noticed guys around the age of 24/25 checking you out or hitting on you, not knowing whether or not you're married. I don't know how I went from always checking out 18,19,20 yr olds to checking out women in the 30-36 yr old range. As of now I think its just something guys around my age go through as we get older. At the same time I know I'm one of those guys whos always ahead of the rest of the guys my age in the head.

Lost and Curious,

Craig
