Let me just begin by saying that my daughter has a phenomenal group of friends from her high school class and her discipleship group at church (a few went to different high schools).
While her class had their groups of "best friends" like at most schools, they really were amazing when compared to any other class of girls I've known in that they moved easily from group to group, and they really did not have any cliques that were "closed". So if it sounds like I am reporting the recruitment results of greater North Georgia, when I say "a friend of my daughter's", I do mean it, as the loosey-goosey group of friends numbered in the 50's. (Imagine how much fun we had trying to find a location for a mother-daughter luncheon prior to graduation last spring--past groups needed space for 60 and we were at 100+!)
With that said, the first two friends are done at Georgia Southern and they are now proud members of
Zeta Tau Alpha and
Phi Mu!
More news when I hear from church friends at Valdosta and Auburn.
