1. How has your fashion sense changed within the past 10 to 15 years?
A lot. Considering that 10-15 years ago, I was in high school. In HS, I felt that fashion in general was a bit of a crock. I therefore avoided clothing with labels on it and wore whatever was comfortable. As I recall, my wardrobe included lots and lots of Hawaiian shirts in the year I went to public school. Before that, I went to a Catholic school where we had a pretty strict dress code... so khakis and oxford style shirts every day. I really didn't care back in those days what kind of clothes I wore.
2. What colors do you prefer to wear, what colors for you are a no...and what have you found that works best? (sidebar: when going out with a signficant other, is there a need to color coordinate with her too?)
I look pretty god in just about any color. My wife used to think I didn't look good in yellow (I have sort of olive colored skin), but I can definitely pull that off. As far as color coordinate? No, never.
3. Is there a big difference between boxers and briefs or do we just blow this up for no reason?
I don't think I've actually owned briefs since prior to middle school.
5. Any preference for soaps
Whatever my wife brings home from Sam's is what I use.
6. How do you do for smell goods (colognes)
I don't ever wear them.
7. Any guys get mani and pedi's?
Never.
8. What are some on the spot things that you keep with you when you go out that may keep you at the top of your game when in good company.
I generally travel light. Car keys, my cell phone and my wallet are generally all I ever carry with me.
9. How are you about shoes? Large collection small collection how much do you spend on a pair?
I have a pretty decent rack of shoes. I generally have the casual/business casual/formal, along with a bunch of old shoes I just haven't been able to convince myself to throw away (like my really old Docs). When in casual, depending on how casual, I wear either some NB's or my Topsiders. When in business casual or business, I'll sometimes still put on the Sperry's, but mostly, it's either a pair of Johnston and Murphy's or something like that. I have a pair of Ecco leather slipper things I try to work in occasionally. I generally will spend up to, maybe even more than $200 on a pair of shoes.
10. How important is it for men to get a haircut....
I'm sure things will change when I finish law school, but generally, I time my haircuts so that they don't interfere with my school work. I'll usually get it cut super short so that I can go a couple of months without getting it cut again. As thick as my hair is, it sort of naturally grows into a style. I'm definitely well groomed whatever my length of hair is. I just wait to get it cut until it starts to look a little shaggy.

[QUOTE=DaemonSeid;1491090]So...a few questions to the fellas (and I know some of you ladies will chime in too)
1. How has your fashion sense changed within the past 10 to 15 years?
Not much really. I tend to like British suits for business but cords and khakis for knocking around. I still like old standby alligator pull overs and Oxford button downs for other than court appearances. I got mostly away from jeans except for a couple of well broken in pairs.
2. What colors do you prefer to wear, what colors for you are a no...and what have you found that works best? (sidebar: when going out with a signficant other, is there a need to color coordinate with her too?)
Khakis and Alligators in Summer, Narrow wale cords and tattersols with navy, hunter, dark gray, or mustard sweaters in winter. For a notch up: Blazer and light weight trousers or seersuckers for summer, Tweed suits or tweed jackets and twill or flannel trousers for winter. For court or other business wear suits: Navy, Charcoal, Navy pinstripe, Navy chalkstripe, gray pin stripe, gray chalkstripe, one navy rope stripe for high court or court of appeal. Repp or silk print ties. White court shirts with detachable collars and court bands for some court appearances. For formal day: Morning suit (Ascot, UK weddings, Trooping the Colour, other events in UK (mostly). Short directors jacket and striped trousers for UK Masonic functions. For formal evening: White tie and tails - both UK and New Orleans (worn a lot during Mardi Gras). Semi-Formal evening: Dinner jacket with formal trousers or tartan trews. For Henley Regatta: Panama hat, Rowing blazer and tie, white flannel trousers.
No, I do not coordinate with my date.
3. Is there a big difference between boxers and briefs or do we just blow this up for no reason?
Boxers more comfortable. Briefs if riding.
4. Shaving......simply discuss....
Daily-before breakfast.
5. Any preference for soaps.
Irish spring, Dial, or something like that.
6. How do you do for smell goods (colognes).
I don't. Morning shower every day. If sweaty and going out that night then another quick shower.
7. Any guys get mani and pedi's?
No. I keep my nails clean and clipped short. Same with feet.
8. What are some on the spot things that you keep with you when you go out that may keep you at the top of your game when in good company.
A book of matches or lighter in case she smokes, a two pill pack of Tylenol extra strength. A clean handkerchief.
9. How are you about shoes? Large collection small collection how much do you spend on a pair?
One pair of trainers for PT. Two pair camp mocs for knocking around, one pair top siders for sailing. Three or four pairs of loafers (Weejuns or Cole Haan Cordivan, dark brown, scotch grain). For court or business : Full brogues, half brogues, cap toe and plain toe black, plain cordivan lace ups, For country: brown walking brogues. Generally all from Allen Edmonds, Cole Haan, Weejuns, Churches, or Brooks Bros. Riding boots from Trickers. Riding kit from Gieves and Hawkes. Suits from G&H or Ede and Ravenscroft. Barrister's court kit from Stanley Ley. Shirts from Brooks Bros, Hildich and Key, or Thomas Pink.
10. How important is it for men to get a haircut....
Since I am a reserve officer I have to stay within spec. I am comfortable with this anyway, brush over on top, tapered back and sides.
11. Uniforms: Marlow White, Gieves and Hawkes, and Goldings. Side note, I believe my Dad got the last Army Blue Uniform and Blue Mess Jacket before they stopped making uniform items.
I tend to wear belts with knock around chothes and braces with suits. My old Barbour waxed jacket has lasted for years. British khaki raincoat and black wool/cashmere overcoat. Umbrella in UK, generally not in US.

OK, How about a quick trip to the casino at Baden-Baden for a few hands of Baccarat, dinner at a great little Alsatian riverside restaurant in Strasbourg, then over to Paris for another few hands of Chemin-de-Fer at the Jockey Club, dinner at Maxim's, and then to London to Berkley Square where we can have a few hands of Poker over Annabels, dinner at Rules?
Unlike 007, I do not particularly like Dom P. Too light weight. I prefer Mercier Reserve de l'Empereur or Veuve Cliquot La Grande Dame. Much better all around.

Sorry, for everyday I wear an aviator chronograph my Dad gave me when I was commissioned, for dress its a Patek-Philippe my Grand Dad gave me when I turned 21. For knock around I have my old Seiko 24 hour dial which keeps excellent time and I got back in High School. For formal I have my other Grandfather's gold pocket watch and chain. Its very old, French, and a beauty, and works like a charm.

1. How has your fashion sense changed within the past 10 to 15 years? Not much actually. Especially since I'm only 25.
2. What colors do you prefer to wear, what colors for you are a no...and what have you found that works best? (sidebar: when going out with a signficant other, is there a need to color coordinate with her too?) I usually do "seasonal" type colors. In the spring I'm usually in pastels (blues, yellows, pinks). In the winter I usually do darker and less bright colors (blacks, browns, greys, navy blue, burnt orange, green, etc)
3. Is there a big difference between boxers and briefs or do we just blow this up for no reason? Strictly boxer briefs for years now.
4. Shaving......simply discuss.... I try to shave weekly. Not with a razor though. I cut my hair weekly so its all in one process.
5. Any preference for soaps Whatever gets me clean.
6. How do you do for smell goods (colognes) Never been one to wear colognes.
7. Any guys get mani and pedi's? Haven't gotten either before but not against it.
8. What are some on the spot things that you keep with you when you go out that may keep you at the top of your game when in good company. Gum. Thats about it.
9. How are you about shoes? Large collection small collection how much do you spend on a pair? I have about 7 different color pairs of New Balance. I make my shoes part of my outfit. One pair of black, brown and tan dress shoes. I need to get another pair of each since I wear them casually at times.
10. How important is it for men to get a haircut.... Very! Should be well groomed when its necessary. I'm at my best once I have a cut. You can't tell me nothing!

1. How has your fashion sense changed within the past 10 to 15 years?
I use to dress kinda thugish but now I like to wear the slightly tighter fitting clothes. American Eagle, Express for example
2. What colors do you prefer to wear, what colors for you are a no...and what have you found that works best? (sidebar: when going out with a signficant other, is there a need to color coordinate with her too?)
I like earth tone colors like brown and green. They match with everything so I have more options on chosing an outfit. There is no
need to dress like them but a coordianate here or there doesn't hurt.
3. Is there a big difference between boxers and briefs or do we just blow this up for no reason?
There is a big difference for me. I hate boxers. Things move too much. Boxer briefs are more comfortable.
4. Shaving......simply discuss....
Its always good to be clean and shaven. If you have a mustache and sideburns and want to keep them, make sure they are lined.
5. Any preference for soaps
I like cocca butter smelling soap. As previously stated, soap clashes with cologne so cocca butter soap smells more like a lotion and not soap.
6. How do you do for smell goods (colognes)
I like Liz Claiborne Curve Soul. I like regular curve also.
7. Any guys get mani and pedi's?
I don't get them but I cut my own and lotion my feet if I wear flip flops
8. What are some on the spot things that you keep with you when you go out that may keep you at the top of your game when in good company.
I keep my brush and mints and carmex.
9. How are you about shoes? Large collection small collection how much do you spend on a pair?
Its cool to have a large variety of shoes, but don't have 5 different pairs in the same color. I usually spend about $60-90 on a pair. I have rockports (3), stacy adams(2), sperry's(4), nike's(3).
10. How important is it for men to get a haircut....
Very. I cut mine every week. Its free b/c I do it lol.
