I bought a Wii last night from Wal-Mart at the retail price of $249. I got the last one. I finally got it connected to my wireless Internet this morning. I played all the sports games last night just to test them out. It can be tiring. The games will tell you to take a break; however, I kept on going. Wal-Mart was out of Zelda, so I will go to a game store today and purchase it. I'm in love with the Wii.

Zelda's definately worth it

and lol at the games telling you to take a break. I clearly haven't played Wii Sports enough, but my TV is on the floor right now and it's hard to play tennis while sitting on the floor.

I've never been crazy for console games. I had an Atari growing up and I would play the original Nintendo with the boy I used to baby sit; but, I didn't really care about the PS or Xbox.

However, the Wii is very cool. I played it at my in-laws house and was sore the next day from boxing. Then my brother-in-law brought his new one over, and now I'm hooked! I absolutely need to get my hands on one.

I bought it today another Wal-Mart. However, I haven't played it yet. I will start after I finish my laundry.

Has anyone gotten Wii Play? The reviewer in my paper didn't like it but it comes w/ an extra controller so it's basically a 10 dollar game (assuming you WANT a controller). I thought it might be fun to play with my family...

I bought that today with the controller. I haven't played it yet though. I just buy stuff to have it. I should be ashamed. I did play Zelda for 2 and a half hours last night though. I'm at the part where the kids chased the monkey. I'll keep you posted on Wii Play.

I played it the other night...it wasn't great, but a nice little time waster while we were waiting to go out. It would probably be worth it for the controller.

I'm not happy that the release date for Mario Party 8 seems to have changed.

I finally played my Wii Play last night. The games are quite interesting. I wouldn't say it's bad. I like Find Mii because it is mind stimulating. It's definitely worth $10.

Thanks, I'll have to see if I can snag it after my next payday

I want to buy a Wii for my boyfriend, who's graduating from law school next month. I know his family will be giving him very nice, but practical things, so I want to get him something fun.
Those of you that got one at the store (not ebay), do you have any tips for tracking one down? Did you call stores? I'm kinda clueless as to how to get one. I'll resort to ebay if necessary, but I (and my wallet) want to try getting it at retail price first.

Sundays, check the ads especially if you can get your Sunday paper on Saturday. Walmart may have them at midnight. Everyone else will have them in the morning.

They don't have them every Sunday but it's worthwhile to check even if it isn't in the ad. Just show up before opening.

Watch the online sites...WalMart, Circuit City, Best Buy, Toys R Us. I actually got mine 10 days before Christmas because I happened to hit Circuit City at the right moment. Good luck!

I was at the mall for something to do with J.A. Banks.. My wife wanted one of those things and I didn't really object. Stopped by EB Games, they had just received 3. Some girl walked in almost at the exact same time as me and bought one. I said I'd take one as well... They had apparently just received a pretty good shipment, 'cuz I got Wiiplay (with the extra control), Zelda, component cables, in other words, I blew the Christmas, 2012 budget.

Wife was very happy though. She will now have a friend to see her through my law school finals.

I watched people play with one while I was in Orlanda this weekend. They were giving one away, but *mysteriously* enough, nobody won it....

There was boxing, golf, and bowling on it. You just strap the controls to your hands and play like virtual reality! It looked cool, I wish I'd gotten a turn, but the boys were hogging it...
