Why do I have a feeling we're gonna end up spending like an hour in that store?

Umm yea, I was trying to stay optimistic about it. Guess that's not gonna happen. We do have to be out of there quickly enough to still get sushi though!

My pledge class had a sleepover when we were new members, and the day of the sleepover we all went to Build A Bear to make stuffed animals, and at the sleepover that night we puffy painted lettered t-shirts for them. It was a great retreat and opportunity for us to get to know each other, and I still have the super cute bear to show from it! I think I'm going to make one for my nephew's birthday, it seems like something he'll get a kick out of, too.

One of the traditions in my chapter is that for Big/Little Discovery, the Big presents their new Little with a Build-a-Bear. Everybody LOVES it.

An organization I belong to raffles a BAB every year, and we make a very tidy profit, for the little work that's done (roughly $500 after expenses).
Then we found out that, if you contact BAB beforehand, and tell them that you're doing it for a charity, what the charity is, etc, you get the bear for free. I think you still have to buy the clothes, though, but I'm not sure. I've won the bear twice, but the second time, I gave it to a child who was there.
The last time I was on their website (quite a while ago), they said that they make greek letter t-shirts & polos by request. I do know that they have some fun ecards, if you want to send one to a child.
I have the Bearamy that I won, and a midnight blue ice skating bear that I was given. The midnight blue bear is beautiful!

My favorite out of all of the ones I have has to be a tie between Nikki Bear II and the Velvet Puppy.
Nikki Bear II because it's different shades of my fav color, purple. And that'swiht out hte meaning behind it for me, or who got it for me.
The Velvet Puppy because it's just so dam cute, it's hard not to love.

I love my Build a Bear! I got the pink poodle, and dressed it in a pleated jean skirt and a cute white top, with the white with silver sparkles Sketchers. I want to make another one but they are kinda pricey.

I have seen the beast; its name is The Melting Pot. Not only overpriced, but pretentious as well.

Aside from the initial price of the bear I find the clothing price to be affordable. When my sister got her bear she was in elem. school and enjoyed saving her money to buy a new t-shirt. Def. one of the great things about BAB!
