What makes no sense to me is three-pronged (LOL):

1. Michael Michaels (LOL x 2), the landlord, claims the 'rents promised to pay $4500 per month, then promised to pay after Reggie starts collecting a pro salary. So it appears there is no lease. Landlord didn't evict them after they didn't pay for months -- he waited a year. Landlord didn't wait until Reggie started collecting his pro salary. Why? That seemed agreeable to him as evidenced by the fact he allowed the family to live there for a year even though they didn't pay. Shady?

2. As to Reggie, there are enforceability issues with respect to Reggie's alleged promise to pay after going pro. Also, if his parents were supposed to be paying the whole time they were there (which is what landlord's saying, right?), what exactly was the "extra benefit" he received in violation of NCAA rules? And the timing? Yeah, incredibly shady.

3. Landlord's attorney:

plans to file a $3.2 million fraud lawsuit against Bush's parents and possibly Bush. The sum includes $300,000 in money that Michaels claims he and another investor, a documented gang member named Lloyd Lake, put into the business, plus punitive damages.

Okay, as Chris Berman would say, WHAAAAAAT?! Fraud? WTF does putting money into a "business" have to do with the house? Nothing? Yeah, that's what I thought.

This sounds like a case you'd see on one of those cheesy court shows, where some fugly woman hooks up with some skeevy unemployed guy and lets him use her credit card to buy hair gel and clothes to wear when he goes out to bang hotties and then sues him because OMG IT'S FRAUD HE'S SUPPOSED TO LOVE ME NOW I WILL GET MY REVENGE.

Lets face it though. I love Reggie, but his parents and this Michael Michaels dude (double name, wtf) are all shady.

SHADY SHADY SHADY

Heh. I would totally do the same thing.

"Oh what? You want me to live at this sick house for free? HOKAY!"

PS. Houston, if you don't pick Bush #1, you are seriously the stupidest bunch of idiots in the world. You, your city, and your whole state is filled with a bunch of dumbfux

Actually, seeing that the Texans defense last year was God-awful, taking Mario Williams wouldn't be a bad deal....allthough I am sure that they will take Reggie.

I kind of think Williams is overrated though. He's not all that consistent, and his numbers are the results of a couple of big games each year.

In my mind it's not even close; if they're going to go for a defender, trade down to the Packers or something, get a bunch of picks, and get A.J. Hawk. I don't see any reason for them not to take Bush though (although an argument could be made for trading down, getting Ferguson and beefing up that o-line)

This thread makes me think about the person who started the thread that still argues that Miami is the greatest college program of all time.

I mean, USC DEFINITELY has more of a case than Miami for that role....but then again, that's what got the other thread into disarray.

Can you believe how similar the 2000s USC and Miami are?

Both got screwed out of the BCS title game their first year.

Both won their second year

Both lost their third year. Holey Calamity, this has gotta be insanity

Wow, the Texans signed Williams. He will be the top pick in the draft. Unreal.

I'm sure the Todd McShay's and Mel Kiper's of the world know far more than I do, but I don't get what's so special about this guy. He's got talent, but it seems like he was way more inconsistent than what you would want with a #1 pick. Then again some of the same things were said about Julius Peppers (that he took plays off, wasn't consistent enough), and he ended up just fine.

I guess they think Davis will be more than fine as their RB. I'd love to be the Saints right now, their phones must be ringing off the hook.

I'm so glad that Leinart and Cutler didn't go to Detroit. I'm actually that both went to Arizona and Denver. Can't wait to see both of them play.

Anything but Detroit or Buffalo!

Sorry, I really wanted to get that out.
Our daughter went to UNC before transfering and graduating from OU.

That would be the University of Northern Colorado and Ohio University.

Here we go again...
