Unfortunately, I did know that, having watched "Batman" when it originally aired.

Now this is a story all about how my
My life got twisted upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I become the prince of a town called Bel-Air

In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground is where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out,maxin',relaxin',all cool
And all shootin' some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Started makin' trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said, "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air."

I begged and pleaded with her day after day,
But she packed my suitcase and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket
I put wy Walkman(R) on and said, "I might as well kick it."
First class, yo, this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass
Is this what the people of Bel-Air live like?
Hmm...this might be alright

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The licensce plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought, "Nah, forget it. Yo home to Bel-Air!"

I pulled up to a house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cab yo home smell ya later
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air.

ET was talking about a new CD compilation of America's favorite TV theme songs. I believe it was Welcome Back Kotter that came out #1.

It's a shame that shows these days don't believe in theme songs (hi, LOST) in order to maximize their airtime.

Camp Anawanna

"We run. We jump. We swim and play. We row and go on trips
But the things that last forever... are our dear friendships
Camp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts.
And when we think about you (it makes me wanna fart!)
It's 'I hope we never part'. Now get it right or pay the price.
Now we will share a lifetime of the fondest memories.
By the lakes of Anawanna.. Sat in the old pine trees.
Camp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts.
And when we think about you (this thing came apart)
Think Anawanna-wanna, speak Anawanna-wanna..
Live Anawanna-wanna! Ugh!"

Seems like there was one composer of several well-known and popular tv themes, including Rockford Files. I can't for the life of me think of his name.

Anybody?? I know I did not make this up!
