Wow, ok, that's not the kind of hint I expected!  Delta Delta Delta seems to be the obvious choice; but would it really be that easy? Three "twinkles" and reference to a star. Tri Delta's badge has three stars on it. Ok. Sounds good.
Perhaps repeating the "twinkle" three times refers to another org such as Sigma Sigma Sigma?
What about the rest of the song?

When I first read the clue, I didn't know who to think, but now that you've mentioned this, I want to say I hope it is ADPi  (but that's just because I'm a *tad* biased  )

Heh, everyone else's first thought was Tri Delta; but ADPi was the first group I thought of when I saw that hint. (Probably because I didn't realize she had added an extra "twinkle"). I want it to be ADPi too so you and I can jump up and down together at the next GC meet!

ADPi is out- on both our badge and crest we have two stars.
Orgs with 3 stars in their crests are:
ACO
DG
DFE
KD
FM

trojangal, you give good clues (even though they're mysterious)!
Fellow GCers - I'm amazed at how you can give out guesses based on what you know about what an orgs badge, crest, etc. has on it! That's impressive! I sort of know what some of the badges look like...but you guys are amazing!

see now...I have to look at all COFA's, I just don't remember all the starred ones....
I will need more hints in order to make a more logical guess
