I'd be worried about catching an ear infection if either of these creeps whispered in my ear.

After viewing this thread I finally heard the song. I'm still trying to figure out of this became a single for radio. I don't want to even imagine the video. I'm sure it will become a hit on BET's "Uncut."

Ok, so I finally heard the unedited "Wait" and I was like, *sigh*...
I was conflicted. While my brain was telling me, "This song is nasty as all hell..." I was steadily whispering, "Bam bam bam bam...." to the beat...

Somebody said "Gimme Dat"...WHOO LAWD. Ya'll ain't ready to hear THAT one either...they just started giving it play in Atlanta but I heard it before then. How are you just gonna make a song DEMANDING that I give you some?

I understand completely. I don't like what "Gimmie Dat" says but I can't help but like the beat. It's like one part of me is saying, "this song is degrading and how dare they demand that" and then the other part is saying " gimme dat......." I haven't heard the whisper song. I think it was on the radio when I was driving back to school but I wasn't paying attention.

When I first heard the song, I also like Lawd have mercy. Then it kind of grew on me. I hope they do not make a video to it. It's the beat y'all. It's the beat. This is to be expected of Ying Yang. I wouldn't buy it either, but the music have your head bobbin.

Ok - I don't listen to the radio too much these days so I went to find this song online. It sounds just like anything 5th Ward Boys puts out. It seems like all these rappers are trying to outdo each other in graphic lyrics. What more can they say?

Anway, it sounds like something my ex would have written. I'm sure he's down there in GA bumpin this song. And, I have a weakness for music already? Shoooot! But now that I'm trying to get into Christian ministry, this is NOT what I need to hear.

That is the truth that it seems that they are all trying to outdo each other. Really, to me, it seems like everything on the radio is basically getting more and more graphic, even the R&B stuff. It's all about whether you cheated, got cheated on, want to sex someone, got sexed by someone, got your man taken, going to take someone's man. It's a mess. LOL SMH. Why listen?

What a disgusting song (and a great remind why I no longer listen to the majority of secular music)

This is just taking it too far and it's about time that we, as college educated, supposed role models for the next generation, take a stand. There is nothing sexual about this song. Those lyrics are straight perverse and degrading. Or is that what we want to teach our little girls?; That sex is perverse and degrading? Or is it that we want to teach our little boys that they should treat women as b*tches and "beat da ***** up"? We've reached a sad, sad point, people when all we care about is the beat.

Nupe4Life, do you have children or work with children? Do you have sisters? How would you feel if you heard them singing this song? What if you found out this song was written about one of your sisters or any other woman in your life? I'm seriously not trying to judge you, but I'm curious as to why your opinion of the song hasn't changed after hearing such vile lyrics.
Ok, now that I've heard the radio version of this song, I can see why people like it. Unfortunately, since I read the real lyrics posted here, I can't help but to hear them in my head when they play it. I'm still SMH that there isn't more of an outcry about the state of "hip hop" (and I use that term loosely) today.
