Geez, and they say us Yankees fans are sore losers.

Thank you! (GO YANKS!)
I was an undergrad at OU back in the days of Saint Barry Switzer (saint he ain't) and it wasn't unusual to walk up past the stadium and the Bud Wilkinson 'jock dorm' and see some players like Danny Bradley (the QB back then, his son currently plays on the team) driving a late-model car. Where did he get it? Who knows... but as long as they didn't get caught red-handed, unlikely any major sanctions would come down on them. Even then, all they'd get was the loss of a few recruiting slots and scholarships, but nothing serious to completely jeopardize the moneymaker that is OU football. Everyone has seen the example the NCAA made out of SMU's football program.
Yes, my Sooners got mauled by a better team. Congrats USC on winning the National Champeenship.
Hmmm... Valkyrie's Kitties vs. (insert team). Bring 'em on!

LOL....now THAT'S funny.
I still remember the Sooner Schooner incident when OU played the Huskies back in the 80's, and I was just a kid.

Got ya beat... hell, I was there with my younger brother at the Orange Bowl way back 20 years ago! Still have the ticket stub. Crummy west end zone seats, but whaddaya expect for $25 apiece back then? Got a pic somewhere of the infamous Sooner Schooner incident. Betcher ass the Ruf-Neks (the all-male pep squad and custodians of the Sooner Schooner) ain't committing that mistake again!
ETA: Ahh, the miracle of computer technology!
Ticket stub:
The Sooner Schooner in action (Nowadays Boomer and Sooner (the names of the two ponies) never stray very far from the end zone.)

And that is why you are a classy sports fan...plus you're a Yankees fan, which doesn't hurt.

However, what I was implying (and Amycat was too dense to pick up on), was that there are rumors of inappropriate Booster club donations to the USC players... I hope that USC would have learned what happens to teams that have NCAA infractions, but I mean, even OU had to learn the lessons the hard way... And in socal where you can buy anything, why not be able to buy a National Championship?
Also, you're a college graduate, or at least in college, and you aren't from the South, never again use the word y'all.

Wow, I finally got to read this thread.
Jeezus sister, you really need to get that stick outta your ass. Your team lost and I have never ever seen a better example of a poor loser until I read your stupid "I can buy a National Championship" post.
I'm just sooooo glad that we have classy OU fans here, you're clearly not one of them.
And finally....
Y'ALL....
Those from the South can throw me in jail if they want to. It just had to be said. I don't think I've ever read a more tragic post till I got to yours.

Sore loser? only as much as amypussy is a sore winner... And how come nobody jumped down her throat last year when she was whining about how USC should have been the National Champs? AP poll my ass...
And we played a bad game, I don't know if socal would have won if the game was played again, though. However, OU has been under close scrutiny as to the use of donations, and I fully stated that OU did have to learn their lesson the hard way. Doesn't look like socal did though...
Amypussy: I should have known that you couldn't read between the lines, I mean, you bought (are buying) your degree. Also, calling me a little snot is amusing, considering that I don't have half the superiority complex that you have.
Others: Calling me sweetheart and kiddo, and generally being condescending is only going to encourage me to not read your posts.
And to whoever said that there is a prejudice against the Pac10, it's because the conference as a whole sucks. It didn't stop them from being the media's darling though, I think if anything, there is a prejudice against OU.

Hokay, I've fucking had it with you. Your team lost, get over it and it's not worth it bitching about a team and a school that was obviously better than yours that day. You've got diehard OU fans (man of whom who have been fans from even before you were born, I might add) who've accepted it and conceded defeat. Do you see them bitching and whining outta their ass like you? NO!
If you're going to be a shitbag and a snotty twat calling those I know IN REAL LIFE "amypussy" and the like, please remove your letters.
KTHXBI.
Throw this one with the breezer, Y'ALL.

ha ha hah ah
OU -- you only need a PULSE to get in (ETA: No offense to the highly intelligent AlphaSigOU)
USC - you need a 3.8 or better to get in.
Bought my degree--- I WISH my family had that kind of disposable income. ha ha Academic Scholarship for my 3.92 ass baby.
Sore winner? I did not come on here pre game to bitch at all Y"ALL for talking up OU. I thought Y'ALL would give us a fair game.
And of course I did not read between the lines--because I had not heard that rumor yet, fyi. And believe me honey, I am not the only one on this board who thinks you need a major ass attitude adjustment.
As for my superiority complex. HELL F-ING YEAH. I should have one, you have no clue who I am or what I do. hee hee
YOU LOST TO A BETTER TEAM. Live with it and move the f on baby. Trust me, you have NO IDEA who I am and BELIEVE me you do not want to start a war with me. MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Looking back, maybe I was a bit overzealous, but you are being a bad winner. Had OU won, I would have made one post in the 2004 NCAA football post, not made a new thread and posted in previous ones.
And it requires much more than a pulse to get into OU. OU leads in the nation in National Merit Scholars, because they get a free ride. I should know, I am one of them. And for your information, I applied to socal, and got in. I just chose to save my trust fund for graduate school, because I didn't want to owe money for my last year of undergrad, which is what would have happened at socal!
Btw, I fully admit that USC won, but I still think that OU did NOT play their best. The rumors, whether they are true or not, would be a convienient reason for that. I never said that USC didn't play a great game. Give me a break, I'm a fourth generation Sooner, the first shirt a wore was one that said, "Future Sooner."
Amy~ I was not trying to "start a war" with you, you caught me after I lost quite a bit of money on the game. I would be perfectly willing to drop it all, however, no one should have a superiority complex, it's not at all attractive.
And I realize that most of my behavior has not the most attractive, forgive me for having a stick up my ass, 700$ is a week's paycheck.

Gambling is bad. Especially on sports. There's no way you can control the outcome. If you want to gamble, take up poker or something where you at least have a chance.
This public service message has been brought to you by kddani, who's ex lost $45K gambling on football last month
And oh yeah, don't take out your anger at losing on innocent people!
