Buy a couple inexpensive Vera napkins in you favorite pattern and cut them into letters. Voila Vera.

I never thought about getting Vera letters made. My new family letters are Lilly Pulitzer, and EVERYONE in the chapter is super jealous, because they are hot.

I think the Gucci print is over the top, though. But I think if you want them, you should get them!

They are really sexy... you can buy the fabric on Ebay. Mine are the same pattern as the current breast cancer scarf. It's not cheap but I bought enough so that my family could have the letters every year for quite a while.

I'm of the school of thought that doesn't really like wearing logo fabric, period, but fake is even worse than real. My diagnosis: tacky.

That drives me insane, too. On the same note, I hate when people own ONE PIECE of tiffanys jewelry and wear it with every single outfit. Necklaces in particular.. tiffany chokers dont look good outside of a turtleneck! Bracelets are fine though, even though sometimes it drives me crazy when people wear them with sweats a lot.. but that makes me a hypocrite, since I've done it when I'm too lazy to take off my jewelry from the night before.

I tend to wear the same jewelry every day unless my outfit really woudl merit otherwise. I wear 3 silver rings, pearl stud earrings and my Tiffany 10 row bracelet (2 year anniv/bday gift from my bf) every day. The only thing I'll really change regularly is my necklaces: I'll either wear my lavaliere (on the same chain as a small tanzanite butterfly), or one of a few others that would best match my outfit. Sometimes I don't wear a necklace, but I always wear earrings and my rings -- I feel naked without them. I also sleep in all of my jewelry (and shower in all but my bracelet and some necklaces) so I generally just wear the same stuff all of the time.

As for bags, I tend to use the same bag as my "everyday" bag -- its a blue/white Coach small flap soho hobo. The fabric is a blue/grey and looks nice with jeans, as well as with my blue-grey wintercoat and boots. I'll switch bags if I want something bigger, or if my outfit calls for something black or brown. In HS I used to change my bags to match each outfit, but now I tend to alternate between that Coach bag and a black tote (with a dressy black bag or my new wristlet for nights out).

I know I'm rambling but I don't really see a problem with wearing the same jewelry/bag/shoes most of the time and changing occasionally if the circumstances call for something different.

I carry my Coach wristlet everyday. It was a gift from my boyfriend and I love it, and sadly, I don't have enough money to buy a larger Coach.

So do I reek of desperation?

Nope! I love my Coach wristlet -- I carry mine every day as a wallet. Fits my cards/cash/pill case/cell if I want and I clip on my keys and "rape whistle"

I just transfer it from bag to bag or use it on its own

I think wristlets in general are extremely convenient for a college student. Doesn't have to be a specific brand name

ETA: mine was also a gift.. well, er... I exchanged a gift and got my wristlet

I wear a lot of the same jewelry every day too.. I have ten earrings and only change the first hole when I'm going out, other than that I wear small hoops in them every day. And I don't change my nose ring either. I think rings and stuff are OK to wear every day, I know what you mean about feeling naked without your jewelry.

What does the tiffany 10 row bracelet look like? Is it the one with the heart in the middle and a lot of tiny chains? If so, I love that one. I have the bracelet with the heart that practically every girl has, plus a really pretty plain silver one my ex-boyfriend got me for my birthday last year. I have 3 necklaces too but mainly wear the L one.

I have like 6 Coach purses but usually only carry 2 (what a waste of money ). The majority of the time I carry my black C one and the other time I carry my brown one with the mini Cs. In the winter I use this really cute one my mom got me last Christmas that's like plaid flannel.

..I guess that's it, now that everyone knows all my jewelry and purse collection.

No, because it's Coach and probably cost just under $100, not $600-some like the tiny Vuitton bag. $80 (or whatever) is perfectly reasonable for a cute wristlet, IMO!

Your last statement is the key. I know some women that almost always wear diamond studs, a certain bracelet, or whatever...it's their signature piece and it gives them flair. Jackie O's sunglasses in the 70s are a great example of this. She wore them nearly always and they became part of her signature look. However, she also knew when NOT to wear them (i.e. with a ballgown)!

WVU alpha phi: Yes, it's a silver open heart with ten tiny chains on each side and a toggle closure. I think it's delicate but interesting and I haven't seen anyone else with it. I don't like the matching necklace though.

RedRoseSAI: my "everyday" Coach wristlet was only $48. At the time I thought that was a lot for "just a wristlet" but for the past year & 1/2 that I've had it, I've used it every single day. It's the perfect size, and I can even fit the strap over my shoulder (and hold the wristlet part under my armpit) to hold really tightly if I'm at a party or bar.

My wristlet and my matching bag:

I just bought a new wristlet about 2 weeks ago. I'd been obsessing over it for a long time, and it had sold out on the website for a while and in most stores. I saw it in a dept store and decided to splurge. (I always save my $$ and have lots in the bank, but I had just gotten a new paycheck that was burning a hole in my wallet) I signed up for a store cc (10% off!) and figured I could return it if I decided I wouldnt get enough use out of it. BUUUUUUUUT... I love it!

pic of new wristlet:

I'm trying to keep this one in perfect condition (the other has been spilled on, thrown around, etc and held up surprisingly well) -- I only use it when I'm going to dinner and sometimes to class.

Yay for wristlets

ETA: to get back on topic... I wouldn't have the guts to wear letters in a "designer" print. I think that's a little tacky but if you like it, go for it HOWEVER, I have nothing against adding letters to your designer bag... I just bought the cutest silver-tone letter keychain to hang on my wristlet ($2.25 on ebay and it came w/ a PiPhi bottle opener keychain and an I <3 PBF pin!)

OMG yes...Robin from Real World, I'm looking at you.

Mel - Coach is a whooooole different deal - it has one logo on it, it doesn't say "CoachCoachCoach" all over it. They're talking about the people who carry the LV with their formal gown.

I just bought some Lilly fabric! Cute idea!

Too bad my only Lilly clothing is a dress, so I can't wear the letters with it hehe.
