Then this fool makes the most ridiculous noise... I know I'm not the only one that wants to see it.
They show that on Disney all the time. It is hilarious. That is the best of the L&S commercials, IMO.

It was nice to a women learning to defined herself and protect her family. So many women have husbands that beat them and they are too scared to do anything about it. We a women "run away" a lot of times the husband will do whatever it takes to stop her and if that means killing her to do that he will. I think this movie showed that and it also showed how two faced a man can be when it comes to his wife and the kids. I liked this movie and maybe it will get some women and girls into self-defense classes. Every person, man and women should learn how to defend themselves. Thats my two cents.
I guess I'm the only one who thought "Enough" was convoluted...me and my friends anyway. I guess I just can't understand how someone can get hit in the face and not press charges - I know it happens every day, but I still can't understand it. If a man hits me, then he's goin' down for assault and battery, and Imma have the photos of me with my black eye in the POLICE REPORT. Like that lawyer told her, she had more than one occasion to go to the police, but she let him intimidate her into not going. She didn't want to go to a shelter because "she didn't want to expose her daughter", but she dragged the kid all over the place otherwise? Man, I kept thinking, "That kid is going to need some SERIOUS therapy in the future." And when she finally got herself (somewhat) out of the guy's clutches, what does she do...CALL her ex boyfriend so he can come visit, and of course her nutso husband can find her now. It was just nuts to me.

I do agree that everyone should learn how to defend themselves though.

Last night I finally went to see these 2 movies at the 50 cents theater and MY GOD, I was on such an emotional roller coaster. I was actually pretty glad that Ideal08 did not come with me because we both would have been boohooing LOUDLY on John Q. I was in the theater wiping my face with some hard ass napkins. I was in awe at how Denzel played that role for real.

I still have not seen TRaining Day but JOHN Q should have been the Oscar for Denzel. Brotha played a role like no other on that one.

Monster's Ball started off slow but I warmed up to it. I don't know if I could have stayed with that man after I realized his connection to my former husband but it was pretty good. Not Oscar good, IMO, but good nonetheless.

Hmm, looks like I have more movie catching up to do than I thought. Murder By Numbers looks like it will be a good one. It stars Sandra Bullock and one of my favorites from Remember the Titans.

I saw the preview for HIGH CRIMES with Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman. I want to see that as well. I had not been to the show in a good little while.

Man this series needs to just DIE

I just saw the preview for the latest in the Michael Myers series.

HALLOWEEN RESURRECTION

Suspense/Horror

Release Date: July 12, 2002 Nationwide.

Cast and Credits
Starring: Jamie Lee Curtis, Busta Rhymes, Tyra Banks
(she is scary looking ), Bianca Kajlich, Sean Patrick Thomas

Save Your Money

I went and saw Scooby Doo last weekend and it totally sucked. There are just no words to describe how bad that movie was. And I just heard that there is going to be a sequel. Why? Why? Why?

On the other hand, I can't wait to see the Powerpuff Girls movie. Bubbles is my favorite. And as crazy as it seems, I want to see Juwanna Mann.

I agree...Halloween needs to just GO AWAY.

Has anyone actually seen "Lilo and Stitch yet?" I'd like to go see that one, but not sure...it looks funny and cute. Opinions are welcome!

I am going to see both "Mr. Deeds" (the Adam Sandler flick) and MIB 2...I have been waiting on MIB especially, but I also enjoy the stupidness of Adam Sandler. Looking forward to both!

Maybe I missed it...but I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Spiderman" yet. I thought that was a great movie! Any thoughts on that one?

I must say I was a little disgusted with the previews for Undercover Brother but once I saw the movie it had me rolling!

Thumbs up Like Mike

Go see it. I loved it. I went solo in Charlotte today but it was good and I shed a couple of tears.

Mo Chest how I want you.

I didn't think MIB2 was all that great. The plot was lacking, it seemed that it was more about the special effects than anything else.

Yeah...I went into it expecting a pretty lighthearted movie. Definitely not a plot-heavy film! I think that's why I enjoyed it, lol.

Changing Lanes

I know it came out way back when but SO WHAT, LOL. I saw it today for $1 @ the $1 cinema. It was pretty good but at times I wanted to kick Affleck's azz and others Samuel L. Jackson's and then towards the end, his wife's.

It was GREAT for $1. I have a couple of other flicks to see this week @ the $1 show.

Hey cricket, there's a reason why Jason is back again. If you go see it, you'll know exactly why. I thought the same thing when I went to see it on Tuesday, but I'm not going to say anything about what the deal is....
