I have been to the following Beta houses:
Arizona
Co. School of Mines
Denver
Iowa
Iowa State
Nebraska
Madison
Oshkosh
Lawrence
Minnesota
Miami, OH (Alpha)
MTSU (old house)
Auburn
Cincinatti
Illinois
Purdue
Northwestern
Knox College
I have been in countless other greek houses too - usually after about a 12 pack on road trips, I'd meander into their houses...Theta Xi at Nebraska, Sigma Chi at Minnesota, Sigma Chi, Phi Tau and SAE (??) at Miami, OH, Delts, Sig Eps, Phi Delts at Lawrence, Sigma Chi, Skulls at Purdue, sorority houses at Northwestern, Iowa, Iowa State.......the list goes on.
Also being married to an Alpha Xi Delta, I try to get to their houses as well.

OK...its been a long time, but here is a list of the chapters I have visited...some as chapter consultant, some just for fun (forgive me for not using their greek letter name)..some are no longer active:
Angelo State
Ball State
Barton College
Bowling Green State
East Carolina
Eastern Illinois
Eastern Kentucky
Florida State
Illinois State
Illinois (U of)
Kutztown
Mansfield
Mars Hill
Memphis State (now U of Memphis...closed)
Middle Tennessee
Muhlenberg
Nicholls State (loved those Cajun people!!!)
North Texas (in '91, when I was still a collegian)
Northern Illinois
Northern Kentucky
Rowan
Southern Illinois (had the best time there!)
St. Cloud State
SUNY-Oswego (closed)
Temple
Texas A&M
Trenton (now the College of New Jersey)
UPittsburgh-Johnstown
West Chester
I visited a chapter in Missouri, but I can't for the life of me remember which one...I got some bad news while I was there, and it was kind of a blur...might have been Truman State, but I'm not sure. All the chapter consultant visits were during the school year '92-93.
Also, I've been to Oxford, OH, but never "visited" with any collegians from the Alpha chapter....

I've visited:
Kappa Omega (Kentucky)
Epsilon Omega (Eastern KY)
Alpha Chi (Western KY)
Chi Epsilon (Ohio State)
Beta Phi (Indiana--I stood outside their old chapter house a couple of times in HS while at IU for another event, and look where it got me )
I'm hoping to get to Omega Upsilon (Ohio U) this year if possible. I'd love to see their home!
Also, after moving out of Kentucky, I've made a few visits back "home" to my beloved Pi Alpha chapter (Louisville.)

Question for Alumnae: Do you at least stop at, if not visit, chapters of your GLO when you're in a new town?

The Alpha chapter of SLG makes a habit of visiting Gamma chapter, since we are the only chapters in our home state, and especially since there are a lot of "Gamma Family" connections between Alpha and Gamma chapters. I love those girls. I'm looking forward to visiting the many chapters in Illinois while I'm home for the holidays. YAY for Gammas in IL!!!

visiting chapters
visiting chapters often will produce some good ideas to take back.
Some hostile ones will become friends, or vice versa. Be sure to
notify the chapter in advance, tho, as an example, in the fall of
'57 or so, over 50 pledges from Central Mo, about 30 from Emporia, and two or three others, knocked at the door of TKE at
Kansas U, all wanting "racks" (beds) and a party. Their lifestyles
were considerably different than the KU ones and there was no
way they could all be fed and accommodated. A lamentable impasse to say the least. But there were a couple of dozen TKE
chapters within driving distance. The moral--make arrangements
ahead, far ahead, for that visit or pledge sneak.
Larger fraternities become less hospitable if visiting brothers do
not consider their "space."
I have been to over 200 TKE chapters, but Buckwheat, I think, has
been to them all. At any rate, extend your hand, do.
