The Beta Chapter of Delta Tau Delta was established on the Ohio University Campus in 1862 and has been in continuous operation ever since, making it the longest/oldest continuous Chapter in the Fraternity.
However, it was not the first fraternity on the Ohio campus. I believe that honor goes to Beta Theta Pi, although I don't know when they were founded or whether they have operated continuously since then.

The Delta Chapter of Omega Tau Sigma (Professional Veterinary fraternity...co-ed) is the oldest fraternity on our campus. They were charted in 1914.
Next is Delta Upsilon and I believe they were chartered in 1989.

Ok... our websites aren't updated so I can't find accurate information. Matt (CSUSigEp), if you are lurking, maybe you can help me out.
From what I found, Sig Ep seems to be the oldest fraternity on our campus now. They were founded as a local in the 1950s and became a chapter in the 1960s. My only other guess of anything older would be Sigma Chi's chapter (but it doesn't say on their website when they were founded at CSUS.) We also have had Delta Chi and SAE on our campus but their chapters are no longer in IFC. Everyone else is relatively new. (I didn't realize the TKE chapter here is only about 10 years old.)
And I believe AXO is the first NPC sorority on our campus. Quite a few others started off as locals as well... but I don't know when.

At the University of Oregon, Sigma Nu was the first fraternity. They were founded in 1900.
I don't know about the other fraternities, but I can do most of the sororities. . .
Gamma Phi - 1908
*Kappa Alpha Theta - 1909 (technically, they were founded as a local in 1904 and are considered "first sorority" by some.)
Chi Omega - 1909
*Tri Delta - 1910
Delta Gamma - 1913
Alpha Phi - 1915
Pi Phi - 1915
*ADPi - 1920
*Delta Zeta - 1920
Alpha Chi Omega - 1921
*Alpha Xi Delta - 1922
*AOII - 1923
*AGD - 1924
*Phi Mu - 1927
*Sigma Kappa - 1928
*Zeta Tau Alpha - 1929
I don't know the founding dates of Kappa Kappa Gamma or Kappa Delta, but they're somewhere in the middle and they're both still open.
* means dormant chapter

The first fraternity at Alabama was Delta Kappa Epsilon, founded in 1847 as their Psi chapter.
The first sorority at Alabama was Kappa Delta, founded in 1904 as their Zeta chapter.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon was founded at Alabama in 1856.
