ok...I'm going to join in the fun! (if thats what its called)
Since I have had a blood clot in my leg, going to the gym has been a no-no. I went back yesterday...30 min. on the eleptical and 3 reps of 15 in the circuit training room. My ideal workout would be to go in the mornings so I have the rest of the day free, but my bed feels soo good at 7:30 AM! I have been lunching on Slim Fast low-carb bars, they are actually really tasty. Nothing to drink but water (and the 2 beers I had last night)

Funny story... I didn't work out at ALL last week because I was sick. I went to the gym last night to weigh myself... I lost another pound. I back down to 126. YAY!

I've lost another pound!
I'm still sticking to the lots of walking and running exercise plan with situps on the side and I'm still eating moderately. However, I plan to start some weight training soon so I dont get bored and to jazz up my weight loss.

Y'all are going about this the wrong way! The best way to lose weight is to join the military...I lost 15lbs in 6 weeks while eating unhealthy stuff in the dining facility....

Didn't work out much last week due to exhaustion, so down a pound. Not complaining though. Still working on getting motivated to work out.
Yesterday I did about 1/2 of the Stability ball for dummies tape
Today I did about 15 minutes or so of weight training on the stability ball
Tomorrow a short FIRM tape and Winsor Pilates (it is my day off from work)

I'm doing okay. I have eaten really well today! And I had a 30 minute run last night plus crunches and other stomach work.
I'm not losing pounds, but I know I'm losing inches cause my pants fit better. I think I'm gaining more muscle...fine with me! I like being buff!

Fitness advice, please!!!
Okay....I go running/speed walking regularly but cannot get to the fitness center easily (living at home for the summer, and no gym around here). So, I haven't done any strength training cause I don't have access.
Anyone know some good excersizes to trim down my upper arms, particularly triceps? And any other good strength training excersizes would be great (ones not involving weight machines).
Thanks!

Just back from the gym...30 on the elept. and circuit training Man, I feel like obligated to go this week after I didn't last week...now if my friends wouldn't keep letting me down and get back into going with me. My problem is that I work in a bakery and we can snack all we want there...yum chocolate cheesecake and cheese rounds! Going to go in the morning tomorrow since I have to teach for the Red Cross tomorrow night! Someone give me a wake-up call!

Ok....so I think I need to go sit in the corner.
I've done a whole lot of nothing for the GC fitness challenge and it's two weeks in already.
Well....I have done *something* I was entering my meals into the fitday.com account for a little bit. Plus, I was continuing to make an attempt to watch what I eat and what I buy at the store.
Unfortunately, my boyfriend decided that it was a good time to fly in from England on short notice and visit for two weeks. Soooo, inbetween going to SeaWorld twice and the zoo and to see two movies....I've been eating a lot of amusement park food, popcorn, soda and so on. Of course, Neil can't get Mexican food in England so we had to order out for that too. Then Neil, as thoughtful as he is, brought all of my favourite British sweets and snacks that I can't buy here over in his luggage. Of course, we just had to go out to dinner for our traditional meal at an Indian restaurant. I'm sorry, GC weight challenge or not.....you will NOT take away my chicken korma!!!!!!
Yeah, I'm real proud of myself.
Right....so, as we used to say as kids.... "do over!!"
.....Kelly

If you have access to soup cans, water bottles, even gallons of milk, you can do stuff for your arms and whatnot. I think the current issue of Self Magazine has some exercises in them because VH1 did that Rock Bodies special recently. Or splurge and get some free weights.
And then there is my new favorite activity... yoga. It mainly works your core (abs/back) but there is some stuff for the arms too. And there are videos out there that help.

I ate really well today, and I'm darn proud of myself for it. No workout today, but I think I'm fixing to do some crunches/ab work, maybe some arm work.
Going to the gym tomorrow to lift, maybe run on the treadmill some. We'll see.
