Thumbs down

The Los Angeles Times, which is usually a classy metropolitan daily newspaper, featured Beyonce's Child on the cover of their Calendar section this week. I actually read the article and the writer asserted that the group has respect from music critics, unlike boy bands.

Did y'all see the Bootylicous Remix Video yet?

Make sure that you do see it. It features Missy Elliot.

They've got these little girls that they've dressed up, made up, and weaved up to look just like Beyonce, Kelly, Michelle, AND MISSY!

I'm just wondering what parents out there allowed their little girls to be aired on video as miniature DC3's.

It was on the BET countdown last night (106 & Park). You're gonna fall out when you see the little mini-Beyonce and Missy.

I saw this video this morning, and I thought the mini-"thems" were kinda cute. Kelly and Michelle's didn't look anything like them, except for the hair. I'm not feeling the song that much. "I don't think they ready for that jelly for them boys"????

Talking

"Cuz my body's too bootyliciouooouuusss for you baaaaabbayy"

Here's story for ya'....
Eveytime I watch/see DC on TV (stage, music video, interview), I almost always mumble "Nasty, nasty, nasty..."
My son and I watch TV together for 2 hours in the evening... So he calls them Nasty Ladies... ("....train up a child in the way he should go...." hehehehe )
My son (no it's not my neice this time) was watching that damn video remix with me last night ... Since I hadn't seen it yet, I watched it, my son was watching too.

Well, when the Little DC gals were flashin' on the screen:

He yells out, "MOMMY, look, a baby!" (he's 2)

I say, "Noooo, they are little girls, they are older than you."

He says, ponting to the 'little girls' on the TV screen, "They are older than me? They are little girls?" --- Pointing to the corresponding DC Member "Those are the Nasty, Nasty Ladies?"
( lol, watch what you say around children...)

I say, "Sometimes..."

He keeps pointing at the screen "Are those little girls mommy? Are they like the ladies?"

I am a little confused by exactly WHAT he meant by that, "Yes sweetie, they are dressed like them"

He says, "They have the Ladies' clothes on, they are Nasty Little Girls, Nasty, Nasty, Nasty girls. Uhhhh with they nasty bottoms, nasty girls!!!!..."

By now I am cracking up....

Question 1: How come I keep trying to watch the Beyonce Cartoon and can't?

Question 2: Why do I hate Booteylicious(sorry for the spelling, I think it's wrong but I'm really not sure) more now than I did before? I was made at Stevie Nicks for promoting the ignorance and now I'm mad at Missy!

TV time in the evenings brings MANY MANY surprising comments from my neice and son... I am thinking of excluding the 2 hours altogether... They are both two, and tooooo dayuuumm smart for their own good.

I am so sick of seeing all that "butt cleavage", as my mom calls it...When did it become attractive to have the first two inches of your butt showing...maybe I missed it...Can't we just find something in the middle? Either the shorts are so short, you can see "the black" of the person's butt, or the top two inches are hanging out!! Moderation people, moderation!!

She's just smiling telling the camera how honored she is to introduce everyone, why is a 15-16 year old introducing big acts? Man her daddy is pimp I tell ya! lol!

The TRL version of Bootylicious goes, and I quote...
"I don't think they ready for that jelly for them boys"

I don't know how much more ghetto you can possibly get, but I know I wasn't ready for the jelly, so doubt "them boys" are.
