Yeah I was just going to say that. She might go by one of her middle names.

I know I would have if my parents had decided to name me after a fruit.
Well at least she wasn't named after a vegetable. Her name reminds me of the twins in "What a Girl Wants". They were names Peach and Pear. They said they also had a sister named Parsnip...but she didn't get out much, lol!

An apple a day keeps Gwynnie away (from the US that is).

It's probably a good thing she broke up with Brad, or she might have though it was cute to name the baby Peach....Peach Pitt.

Oh, no, I hope Brad & Jen don't get that idea...although if they do, maybe Peach will become friends with Appletini, and you'll have a regular old fruit salad going on.

Wait till they have more kids, then they can have a fruit salad... Apple...WTF kind of name is Apple? Don't parents think of their kids lives when they name them?

When I found out what they named her, I thought about all the nicknames the kid will have when she gets older. My first thought was that her peers will call her "Apple Martini"!

I read on babynames.com that the name Apple may have been a tribute to the Beatles... Something about their record label being Apple records or something... Just a guess from one of the posters who said that Chris Martin is way obsessed with the Fab Four...

They should immediately take Gwenyth's skinny butt out back and beat the far out of her for giving the kid such a name.

It's almost as bad as Shannon Sossaman's son: Audio Science

or Jason Lee's kid: Pilot Inspektor

Apparently Jermaine Jackson's son's name is Jermajesty. That's waaaaay worse than Apple.

Well there are LOTS of other Beatle-related names they could have given her, like Lucy, Martha, Julia, Prudence, Eleanor or Piggie (just kidding about the last one) that wouldn't get the kid beaten up every time she goes to school.

Do these people think that just because you have a ton of money and are famous that you can abuse your children.

Poor poor kids!

Thumbs up

I wouldn't mind being named apple... It would be kinda cool. Something tells me this kid isn't going to have anyone making fun of her anyhow... If your mom is Gwyneth, and your Dad is one of the best musicians of the decade you were born, I think you are automatically one of the cool kids, I might be wrong, but I doubt it...

No one is stressing. We're simply having a good time making fun of people who are richer and more famous than us, who still make bad decisions. and that's what it's all about...God Bless America.
