Hahahahahahahaha. That is just too funny! I cannot wait for the third movie to come out. The third book was by far my favorite. Does anyone know what the sixth book will be called?

Oh no guys, I wasn't saying that older folk can't play the kiddies in films...I just think it would suck if they got all new actors...so they need to get on the ball! I mean a new Dumbledore, well that was needed since R.Harris has gone on to the great beyond, but I can't even imagine a new Ron, Hermione, or Draco...and is it just me being the old perv that I am, or is he getting cuter as he's gotten older?

Actually Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) IS getting hotter as he is getting older

I hate to admit this but I could easily take a tumble for Severus Snape! That actor is fabulous in a greasy smarmy oh-so-sexy kind of way.

Of all the Harry Potter books thus far, this is the one I've most wanted to see adapted to the big screen. I an so excited to see if the Dementors look the way I picture them!

"Dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. They infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them. Even Muggles feel their presence, though they can't see them. Get too near a dementor and every good feeling, every happy memory will be sucked out of you. If it can, the dementor will feed on you long enough to reduce you to something like itself...soul-less and evil. You will be left with nothing but the worst experiences of your life."
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

It actually would be in the best Hollywood tradition for twenty-somethings to play teen-agers. Most of the cast members of Beverly Hills 90210 were in their 20's (some in their late 20's) or late teens when that show went on the air, just give one example.

Sorry, but the rumors are not true. JK Rowling is reported to still be in early stages on the book.

It has not been announced yet.

It's not you, although I was thinking Daniel Radcliffe & even Rupert Grint were maturing nicely...DH was commenting on what a hottie Emma Watson is going to be during the POA commentary on Sunday. Tom Felton's (Draco) not growing up to be my particular cup o' tea, but I can totally relate to the person who said they'd like to break off some of that Severus Snape or even Lucius Malfoy!

Now-let's talk about people we'd like to see in a future HP flick: PLEASE! Find a role for Liam Neeson & Colin Firth!!! (perhaps Colin Firth could be a mature Harry in future, since JKR is talking about continuing the series beyond Hogwarts...now THAT would be cool!) The actor who appears as James Potter resembles Colin Firth a little bit....

Who else?

I heard a rumnor that they were only going to make movies of the first 3 books, POA being the last. I hope all ya'll are correct, cause I'm dying to see what they do with the rest of the series!!

Anyone else rereading POA right before the movie?

Oh yeah..I'm w/the "dirst ole ladies" on here..heh..Draco is getting hotter..can't wait to see Sirius all cleaned up..

"The Goblet of Fire" is in production now. They started filming in MArch (according to imdb.com) and it is scheduled to be released in 2005.

"The Order of The Phoenix" is scheduled for release in 2007.

All according to imdb.com

I know...I grew up during that era. There is no way any of the BH 90210 crowd even looked like teens back then though.

slight hijack...speaking of Colin Firth, I don't know what happened but I just sat down over my work spring break, (ahh the joy of teaching) and watched the movie "What a girl wants" like 10 times. For some reason I just love that movie. Colin Firth looks hot with the longer hippie style hair he had in the beginning and the guy who played Ian...man if I were 10 years younger (and I'm only 28, tee hee!). end hijack.

As for reading the POA I might, I just dunno, I hate going into movies where I have read the book and analyze the scenes that they changed or left out for cinematographic purposes, so I will just go and enjoy the "Potterness" of it.

True, but Hollywood does it all the time.

The willing suspension of disbelief is indeed a useful thing.

Daniel Radcliffe is (going to be) adorable. Glad I'm not the only dirty old woman (at 24 ) out there!

Colin Firth and Liam Neeson would be awesome in HP. I'd also love to see Kate Winslet in one of them.
