OMG I remember the Thundercats and Silverhawks.

Every so often I'll see one of these cartoons on the cartoon network. Let me tell you, living down memory lane.

What about The Labrynth (didn't that come out in the 80's with the then unknown Jennifer Connelly)

I think this was said, but I'm not sure, but when I was a kid I would wear two pairs of socks. The push down kind and I would wear two different colors. It was like you had to go up a shoe size just to fit the socks.

I also remember the MC Hammer pants. I too had a pair.

Side ponytails

Big hair and bangs (with lots and lots of aqua net sprayed on it)

I was thinking about this yesterday when I was driving (and I know not everyone likes country), but there's this song by Mark Wills called "19 Something", and the first verse is about the 70's, but the second verse is about 80's, and almost everything mentioned in the song has been mentioned by one of us

Here's the lyrics (as much that I can remember of them) of the second verse and chorus:

It was the dawning of a new decade
We got our first microwave
Dad broke down and finally shaved those sideburns off

I took the stickers off my Rubic (sp?) cube
Watched MTV all afternoon
My first love was Daisy Duke and them cut off jeans

Space shuttle fell out of the sky
And the whole world cried

It was 1980-something
In the world that I grew up in
Skating rinks and Black Trans Ams
Big hair and parachute pants
Looking back all I can see's me
Oh man did I look cheesy
I wouldn't trade those days for nothing
Oh, it was 1980-something

MTV= Video Killed the Radio Star

That was the first MTV video, which I believe was in the early 80's.

Michael Jackson was definately the 80's.

What about these singers:

Paula Abdul

Debbie (now Deborah) Gibson

Tiffany

I had cassettes for every one of these singers. They just were the shit when I was a kid.
