Crescent Moon is pretty harmless. Unless you count the fact that we turn into werewolves...

Alpha Gam roses are red and buff. Buff is a hard color to get (sort of tawny), so we usually use yellow.

At one time I was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma (red rose)and Beta Sigma Phi (yellow rose) which fit in very well with Alpha Gam.

P.E.O.'s flower is the marguerite, most commonly represented as a daisy. Another easy-to-obtain flower.

As for KKG's fleur-de-lis, just ask Carnation about her experience!

Okay! In the seventies, one of my Kappa friends kept talking about how there wasn't an official Kappa iris and asked me to breed one for them. I wrote y'all's HQ and got permission. It took several years but I finally bred the one of my dreams--the story is in the Summer 1981 Key...2 of the Kappas on GC have a copy. Its standards (top petals) are light blue and the falls (lower petals) are dark blue.

Cool, Carnation! So since Ms. MysticCat is a Kappa who has planted irises all around our yard (she claims it was her favorite flower even before she pledged Kappa, but Kappa surely intensified the love!), do you know if bulbs for your Kappa iris are available anywhere.

And I do have to give Ms. MysticCat props for equal time -- in the fall she always makes sure that we have chyrsanthemums -- the Phi Mu Alpha flower -- on the front porch.

I sent the rhizomes to KKG HQ in 1981 but if you wrote them, surely they have enough to divide out by now!

My goodness, carnation....you definitely ROCK!!!!
I on the other hand buy those little mini yellow rose bushes and promptly kill them. Apparently they are much happier living in Kroger-land, so I leave them there now.

Also, yeah, a bone phobia is really weird. Don't remind me, cause I already know. LOL
It is no stranger than a CLOWN phobia. I swear if I ever saw a group with a clown mascot, I'd be gone. You know that story about the PNM climbing out the bathroom window because of the wallpaper? I'd be climbing out the window to get away from the clown. I know of a certain GC Dee Gee that wants to torment me with a 3 foot Hannah doll

Well I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.

For the GLO with common flowers it seems like every one elses has your flowers but for the rare one it is hard to get your flower for events.

Maybe if people could change them not they would have two. One easy to find and one rare, so you could have the best of both world.

We bought 2 little mini red rose bushes for our porch planter to symbolize AOII for our oldest daughter. Only-- one turned out to be yellow so it's my Yellow Rose of Texas! Those little suckers have bloomed all through this cold winter. Likewise our wine and white carnations in the mailbox planter for Pi Phi and Chi O. I wonder what new flower we'll buy for daughter #4 in the fall--more of the same or a new one?

I like Beta Sigma Phi's because it is the Yellow Rose

With Alpha Phi, I love the Ivy. The forget-me-not is pretty (love the color).

If I were to change the flower for Alpha Phi, it would be to a rose (doesn't matter what color). I LOVE roses! Always have. My father was also a rose fanatic

Carnation, what a cute idea to plant the flowers of all of your family's greek organizations.
It's funny because I have tons of pansies on my balcony although I picked them sub-consciously. It was only after my bf and pledge sis both commented "Wow, can't tell you are a tridelt" did I realize that I have like 5 different colors of pansies dominated all the other flowers.
