I'm really stunned that she chose the dorky, wannabe weatherman over Adam. I think she must have some sort of mental handicapped which has gone by unnoticed until now.
Why can't they ever put women who make good decisions on tv?

I don't blame her-its hard to ignore a physical attraction, but she had that with Adam too. Oh well. May Melana & Jason live happily ever after...w/Jason's parents.
Adam will come out of this smelling like a rose-he will find a hot woman who is his equal--from a success standpoint--and not just a pretty face.

The way she was looking at Jason, I thought she wasn't picking him... I was trying to figure out if they were pulling the split screen like For Love or Money or if they were going with the "whoever comes out of the limo first isn't the one picked" from Bachelor (yes, I watch too much reality TV)... while I liked Adam, I didn't see a lot of chemistry there-- more of a friend vibe. She went with her physical attraction-- Jason. I was laughing at the end when she's like Jason has taught me so much about myself and has inspired me. I was like what has he inspired you to do???? I didn't get that impression, if anything I'd be inspired by Adam and his work ethic. I felt really bad for Adam, but I thought he was nothing but a class act esp. at the end.

I just found out that there's going to be an alum of Phi Sigma Pi on the next season of Average Joe -- his name is David, and he graduated from Southwest Missouri State. I'll be rooting for him!

She was an idiot to go with the pretty boy waiter. He'll probably dump her when he graduates from college. She proved that looks do matter over substance. I think they should do a reality dating show on Adam. He deserves a quality woman.

Wow......an NFL cheerleader and a waiter. Looks like they'll have to live on love until her Playboy offer comes in.
Adam is the real winner in all of this. If Melana would pick Jason, who is dumb as a brick, because of physical attraction, then he doesn't need a girl like that.

It's one thing you are overlooking if you were watching and Melana said it best at the end. Adam was falling for her a lot harder than she was falling for him. It's better to let him go now than hurt him even worse in the long run. He'll land on his feet. BTW did you know she's the sister to Wes Scantlin, lead singer of Puddle of Mud?
As far as the new group in Paradise, I wonder how long will Carrot Top's long lost brunette brother last before getting the boot.

I watched this and when she picked "pretty boy" I had to turn it off. I didn't want to see Adam hurt.
Let's hope they don't have an "Average Jo-Ann". I would call a bookie and make a bet before the season opener.

yesterday, i saw the boys on the today show and i really thought that adam was going to win. he was so happy and smiling and looked like life couldn't be any better. i didn't even try to watch the last half-hour of the show because i thought i already knew!! lol. well, it seems like adam isn't too upset about how things worked out. matt lauer asked them if they thought everything worked out as it should have...and adam was soooooo adament that it was the right thing. good for him! i'll take him. he seems totally my type.

ohh, the average joe and it's consequences hits home... this is one of my friends away messages right now:
"the more I think about the Average Joe last night the more I get pissed off, what the F was that egotistical f-ing god damn slutty ass bitch thinking, she didnt deserve Adam, I mean in the long run all she cared about was looks cause the dude she picked had the personality of Mitch, which is none, and she let the guy who actually cared about her, liked her and was in the end a millionare go because looks mattered more to that stuck up bitch, I mean the dude made a menu at his resturant for her, wrote her a poem, and had a pretty in pink night for her, I guess that does mean that the average joe might as well just give up cause I guess a guy like that or maybe like me will never get the girl of his dreams, god damn bitch "
YIKES is all i have to say

I only half heartedly kept tabs on the show. But, when I realized that her choice was a Hottie Waiter Boy or Wealthy Wall Street Guy I realized she's screwed no matter what! Either way she'll come off as superficial. It's a lot easier for someone to forgive you for picking based on looks than money. If you pick the money you're a gold digger for life.

I was so super pissed that she let Adam go! Ditto to the person who said all Malena and Jason did was make out.

JAM-I read a story where an ABC exec qas quoted that they wouldn't be doing an "Average Jane" because they knew it would never fly--no man ever says personality is more important than looks--and they also didn't want to deal with the backlash over how cruel it would be to see a bunch of physically unattractive women in that position.
Probably a good thing...I know I would have gotten sucked into it, though....
