This is SO true! A few months ago, the media was reporting how empty the stands were, that the Marlins have the worst attendance records in the League.

I could care less. I'd be happy if the Marlins left South Florida. Now they're going to demand that beautiful PARK area by the bay for a new stadium. Hello, why do we have to destroy all the natural beauty of Miami for baseball?!?

As for the guy who caught the ball...poor guy, I feel sorry for him. When a ball is hit & it's coming towards you, you have no idea what going to happen - you just instinctively try to catch it. I'm sorry that Chicago is using him as a scapegoat - gosh, I hope he doesn't commit suicide. (seriously! the guy's a volunteer baseball coach, too!)

It's not his fault that the Cubs "began" to choke after that, I mean, come on - as someone else said - they're PROFESSIONALS.

Finally, as for the stupid news reports about the offers for the guy - yeah, okay, one day of it is enough. But it's gotten really silly.

And now, the Marlins are in the World Series. Hooray.

The pro-cubs shadow would have been that much greater in Chicago had the cubs won this series.

I felt bad for that Bartman guy when he gave up that three run homer to Cabrerra and also when he gave up those runs to make it 9-5 Florida, (wait that was the cubs pitchers that did that?)

It just aired Dan Patrick interviewing the supposed "bartman" on the phone. At the end of the interview, the guy says, Do you like howard stern's buttcheese?
There was a long pause and than
Dan Patrick said "We've been had. That was not phil bartman"
