West Georgia's theme is Lights! Camera! Action!

Not sure if I am going to the parade but I want to go to the game..at least until half time, lol!

There are about 5 AGDs on the HC court!

AGD is paired with Kappa Sig and DST. That's the only pairing I know

ETA..I think I also put this info on another post, lol. oh well, lol.
There are 2 AGDS on the actual court, the others rep other orgs..

Allegheny's homecoming theme was "Under Construction" since our campus center is currently under construction. (the administration always thinks up the dumbest themes)

ADPis were teamed up with Phi Kappa Psi and we won our float. First time we've won in a long time

PS - MANY things at Penn State are divided Blue/White - there are two golf courses (the Blue course and the White course), two bus lines (Blue line and White line) and the Nittany Lions divide into two teams for a spring scrimmage (The Blue-White Game).

It's not having a White course, a White line and a White football team we're worried about.

It's that many things at Penn State are also called "Beaver", and we have to live in Beaver Hall or Beaver Terrace Apts, and cheer at Beaver stadium.

'nuff said.

my schools mascot is a dragon so we made a HUGE dragon out of chicken wire and that blow up insulation foam stuff and painted it- ok so id idn't do it- i give allll props to our alumni - but it looks awesome- also we have a girl running for homecoming queen and we run a contest every year called the ugly man and they have to raise money for our philanthropy- the american cancer society- and who ever raises teh most money is homecoming king... its a lot of fun- this year we don't have a football game- but it'll still be fun- PLUS this weekend we have our 75 birthday party- and its going to be huge- probably 700 people or so- can't wait soo excited-

This is my first Homecoming, and so far, it's not that great. We are going later to work on the float though, so it will get better.
Crystal, my bestfriend is in the big sorority (not gonna say which one because you probably don't want it said outloud) and I was talking to her roomate the other day (in charge of fight song) and she said that they really tried to get yall involved but the main girl she talked to from Phi Chi said "We don't have enough money to help with Homecoming. We have to actually pay all our dues."....and my friend was upset over that comment because just because we are in a national sorority doesn't mean that our parents pay our way through. Most every girl I know pays their own dues. I found it odd yall weren't doing homecoming!! because I knew you are so pumped about your sorority...I hope things go well for you this weekend!

At Ohio University, the Homecoming Float competition was won by the combination of Delta Tau Delta, Chi Omega, Delta Upsilon, and Phi Kappa Theta (I think -- I'm sure of the first three)

Ohio does not have a school wide homecoming queen contest, the Black Program Council has one.

At my school, the tradition is for alumni not to return for homecoming. The students that do go to the football game leave at halftime after the queen and king is announced....so much for school spirit,

Lets see...Bridgewater's homecoming is October 24-26 and the theme is "A Storybook Weekend". We're paired with both Kappa Delta Phi & Sigma Chi (both of the chapters here are really small) and our float is "The Little Mermaid." Not really sure how all of it is going to work out...but I know we'll be able to get our ish together in time.

I know we nominated our president for Homecoming Queen. ANd she has to go through this whole competition...It should be fun to watch...I'll keep ya updated.

Let's see ... Report from Iowa State

Theta Delta Chi is paired up with Alpha Delta Pi, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Theta Chi.
We started our Homecoming Week today, and we made the first cut of Yell-Like-Hell competition. We are still working on the Lawn Display, and I'll keep you updated throughout the week.

There's a football game at homecoming?

This year's homecoming was weird...everyone there was either just graduated or in their mid-40s. Not a lot of people in between, but we managed to have fun anyway. I think the low turnouts are due to the chamber of commerce changing the date around....it is supposed to be the 2nd weekend in October, period!! People make plans with that in mind.
