On the subject of 50-year pins. I didn't realize, til I saw it in the Quarterly that it was meant to go around the official badge.

I never knew that either, until I saw the Quarterly.

Another 50-year...

Someone rescue it!

Another pretty 50-year pin on Ebay

So far I've rescued two 50-years and four regular pins.

This is the same seller I bought from last time. I asked her to sell it to me without going through ebay and she said she would for $70. I was like, a new one is $30 and while they are important, I am not spending $150 plus on 50 year pins this week.

I encourage you not to bid right now if you are interested. Wait, keep the price low and then bid at the last minute. Tyoregon is not usually a last minute bidder, so if you wait you can usually out bid him unless he really wants a badge and he's put his max bid really high.

tyoregon's daughter has a substantially sized collection of badges. they are beautiful and someday they will revert to a phi.

i just got my 50 year pin that i won in the mail. it is very cool. it is not the same size as the current 50 year pin and i don't think there is any way a regular badge would fit inside. the woman selling the second one says that it is identical.

Just so you know the current high bidder is an Alpha Phi. She is the AMC in the NE region.

the 50 yr pin is normally $30.00? wow forget ebay i rather buy mine new. Though the point is to win it and keep it "in the family"

yeah $70 is a little extreme for what it really goes for.

laura i'm almost positive you can buy a NM badge from EO....I have one that I bought after one of my pledge classes initiated (I was pledge mom), they only cost like $3.50...well maybe it went up but it's super cheap. Plus, how cute are they?

Arrow Alpha Phi New Member Badge Listed

Yet another pledge pin online. But here's something curious: The person who is selling has four available. I hope a sister would not do this, but it does make me wonder why some random person would have four Alpha Phi new member badges. Most people who sell badges online get them from estate sales and that sort of thing.

Anyway, here's the link:
