You better believe that I have a Pi Phi Alum sticker on the back of the van! And looking out at ASLFRose's new car (she's here for the weekend)--there are gold AOII letters on the back windshield!
I have a Pi Phi front license plate but my van doesn't have the screws and holes in front to hold one. Does anyone know how I can get that changed?

Hey Carnation,
I'll bet you (and JAM and Earp among others) remember the days when a Greek "couple" were "pinned" and had both sets of letters in the back window. Sometimes on either side of a university logo decal or something. Assuming they did that in places other than Ohio.
Might be:
DTD letters// O.U. logo//Pi Phi letters
Of course, if you broke up, it made your rear window look lopsided.

Hey Carnation,
Where did you get a alum sticker? I would love to get something like that and I have never seen those before.

Actually it's not that hard to do... if you look very closely at the front bumper you should see two or four small dimples molded on the bumper itself - they're the locating points for a front license plate holder. Best bet is to go to your local dealer for whatever make your car is, go to the parts department and order a "front license plate bracket for a (year/make of your car or van)" Shouldn't cost very much (mine was about $20 for a '97 Ford Thunderbird) and includes all the mounting hardware and license plate screws. It's something not usually kept in stock, so you may hafta wait a day or two for them to order it.
My older '95 Thunderbird had the Alpha Sigma Phi coat of arms on the back window; my current T-bird has emblems denoting my membership in several Masonic bodies (Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shrine), and I also have a license plate frame for Alpha Sigma Phi.

DeltAlum,
I DO remember the double Greek decals on pinned couples' back windshields! Don't they do that anymore? And the breakups with the lopsided look--LOL!!!!
TriDeltaGal, I got my alum sticker from Pi Phi Nationals--seems like it came in an appeal for funds.
AlphaSigOU, thank you!!! I knew it had to be pretty simple!

Not a problem... Here in Texas, you're issued both a front and back license plate which must be displayed at all times. Having moved from Oklahoma (which only issues a rear license plate), I didn't want some local gendarme bagging me for not displaying a front license plate (a $25.00 'fix-it' ticket).
BTW, DO NOT attach the front license plate holder to any other place in the front bumper other than those designated holes - lest you want to accidentally activate your airbag system!

I don't think most chapters get pinned anymore. Lavaliering seems to be the big thing.
I haven't seen a car with fraternity and sorority letters in a long time.
Any of you undergrads or recent alums do those things anymore?

My left back window has AGD letters & amorial bearings (crest) and on the other side WEST GEORGIA sticker. As I've stated more than once on GC, my license plate is AGDSQL
And hubby loves to drive my car!
