TN Born... not bred...
I was born in Jellico, TN, but I've never lived in TN.... although most of my family does live in Knoxville, I live in Louisville, KY.. My cousin graduated from UT Knoxville this year...
I fell like I grew up there because I used to spend my summers with my grandmother in Knoxville.. I guess thats pretty close...

I'll be moving to Tennessee at the end of this summer (right around August 1)! Mr.Imsohappythatiama got into Vanderbilt to puruse his MBA, so Nashville, here we come!!!
I will be proud to call myself a Tennessee greek....even if it's only for our two-year stay in Nashville!

I graduated from Central, but several of my chapter sisters when I was in college were Farragut grads, too. It's a huge school. Tell Lara a Knoxville alumna says hello and welcome!

This is a mild thread crash. I was a K-town resident from 1990 to 1993, seven years before I became Greek, and know Silverblue.

Waving at Steeltrap -- we used to work together!
Guess what, Steeltrap? A couple of weeks ago, I finally won first place for my headlines in SPJ's regional Golden Press Card contest. I came in second the previous three years, so I REALLY wanted first this year.

Sarah, the new Web site for AXiD looks awesome! I noticed a few months ago it had been redone. Very sharp.

TN Legacies
My grandmother is from Nashville and she was an AOII at UTK and so was her mother. My great-grandfather was a FIJI at UTK. I use to go away to camp in Winchester, TN for 9 summers and now I live 45 minutes South of Memphis. Does that count? (I mean I was born and raised in New Orleans)

Vandy, Vandy, oh hell yeah!
I'm a Vandy ADPi in the Zeta Rho chapter! I was raised in Wichita, KS, but I find myself becoming more Southern since I've been in Nashville...I recently found myself explaining to my brother why "y'all" is better than "you all"!
Congrats to Mr. I'msohappythatiama and PinkBliss on going to Vandy next year! If you have any questions about Nashville and Vandy, feel free to PM me(in case I don't check the board right away).
PinkBliss, I'd make sure to get ahold of your local Alumnae Panhellenic this summer. As someone who rushed w/o recs(no legacies, and I think the closest active AP is in KC, 3 hours away), I'd advise it. Every girl seems to have a mother or grandmother who has rounded up recs for her to every house.
