Oh, Lord, I didn't want to admit it, but this is right up there at the top of my list. I hate clowns. They scare the living daylights out of me. I almost fainted when I watched "It," and afterwards I had to get my boyfriend to take me to the bathroom because I was terrified to go alone. I read somewhere that modern clowns are modeled on characterisations of the Devil from medieval plays...no wonder they're scary.

OMG!! I am sooooo scared of alligators. Yuck! I hate them! They are so ugly and nasty. (sorry UF fans)

Funny story. When UK was playing UF in Lexington my then best friend, now boyfriend, thought it would be funny to have the gator mascot wave at me. So when I walked into Commonwealth Stadium there I saw Nick with this huge alligator mascot waving at me. I was so scared it was going to run after me. So I took off running out on the field. To make matters worse, I'm in the UK Marching Band. So not only was I running around like an idiot, but I was doing so in a marching band uniform and my clarinet.

Probably one of the most embarassing moments I've had since I was at college. I felt so stupid.

My list could go on forever but here are just some of my fears:

-The dark
-Spiders
-Heights
-Small spaces
-Stalkers
-Water
-Needles
-Knives
-Guns
-SNAKES!!!
-Clowns!!!
-Grass (it always makes me itch so I stay as far away from it as possible)
-Stairs (I always think I am going to fall down them, which I usually do too, b/c I'm so klutzy)

I have lots more, but I'll end the list now, because otherwise I'll be typing all night long.

Living in country, you are in nature, so like snakes, I'm not bother by them, spiders are okay to look at BUT if they crawl or jump on me, I would freak out.
-And bees, wasps, bubble bee (those things are huge), I don't like them.
-Oh these big ass flying beetles are the baseball park at night.
-I guess big bugs in general that fly or crawl near me
-Fear of not finding someone to love (ie boyfriend/husband) and grow old with. I don't wanna be the old lonely woman with 15 cats

I'm afraid of falling backwards- stems from when I was taking gymnastics and learning how to do backhandsprings. The instructor dropped me, and I stoved my neck. I'm terrified to do that kind of thing now.

And I'm afraid of being held down.....don't know where that comes from but I get so paranoid that I'll be smothered or something.

Ooohh....!!!! And warts!!!!!! *shivers* It's because in kindergarten I always had to hold hands with the "bad kid" in class and his hands were covered in them. Really, really, really bad.......

Unhappy

WELL, I finally remembered a fear!

I hate heights and the fear of falling!

I flew for 6 years everyother other week! Went to the top of The Empire State Building and Sears Towers. Just to prove that I could do it!

Try the St. louis Arch, damn what a ride and sight that was looking down swaying in the wind!

Hate to admit it but cant climb over the eaves of the house!

Damn I hate that!

Ah well, part of getting older I guess! It to all comes to pass!

Flying (that includes crashing, hijackings, terrorists, etc)
Death
Disappointing the people I love
Lizards (this is a biggie for my mom and me. If one gets in the house, we 1.) freak 2.) spray it with any and every available chemical 3.) beat it to death with the broom (we broke our broom once doing this) 4.) after it is dead, freak again. I hate lizards so much! They hang out by our back door during the summer...we also have a lot of Geckos *shudder* NOTHING should have clear skin like that...when we see 'em we get our keys in hand and make a run for the door, praying they don't decide to jump on us!)

I don't really have objects of which I am afraid, rather thoughts.

This is going to sound odd, but I am afraid of settling, especially in relationship to my career. Am I compromising myself and my abilities to do something I know I can do, rather than risking to do that which I want to do? Do I just do what I am good at or do something that I would love to do? Am I not living up to my potential?

I hate needles. It has nothing to do with pain since they don't hurt... that's something to get used to, but my fear of them is from the idea of metal in my flesh. I don't know why earrings don't bother me... it's the whole going into a vein thing I think. My fear has only been getting worse as I've gotten older.. it didn't used to be quite this bad. When I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out, it was the first time I'd ever been put under. What I was afraid of was the IV and it had been worrying me. I thought about it, rationalized it, and walked into the office just fine and confident. My mom came back to talk to me for a couple minutes and the lady walked him with the tray to do my IV. She had hardly set it down and I FREAKED. I thought I would be fine and all of a sudden I was hyperventilating and sobbing and another nurse had to come in to help hold me steady I was just shaking so bad. I think the only thought that scares me about pregnancy is needing to get poked with needles. Pain I can handle... the conquering the eerieness of needles is just something that has thus far been beyond my capabilities When I even think about them my skin tingles and crawls and I can't expose the inner portion of my arm--my arms and elbows just lock up until I relax... it's awful

Also, I had never been afraid of clowns really until I started thinking about how creepy they are. I'm not scared of them, but I don't like them at all anymore.

I also hate heights... I think it's the fear of falling that spurs that one though.

I think being buried alive or suffocating are my worst two death nightmares... freaks me out just thinking about it.

I'd say I'm scared of being vulnerable... I don't like thinking about the possibility that somebody is watching me who I can't see... being alone in a house at night is kind of creepy.

blood (needles, when I got my tonsils out two years ago and they put the IV in me, i freaked out and tried to pull it out and then passed out but then i kept waking up they had to call the anesthesiologist back to give me more eek)
everytime i have to get blood taken, i hyperventilate and pass out

I HATE centipedes and big spiders. for some reason little spiders don't bother, but we have these huge ones in my basement.... I shudder just thinking about it

I am such a social puker and i hate it when ppl throw up, i hate it in movies, tv, real life, whatever.... *gag*

Alligators in high heels

Fears:

--Boredom: I am the one in my crowd who tends to shake things up or get things going.
--Needles (medical): from a long hospital stay.
--The Santa Ana freeway at Euclid: a crash there led to the long hospital stay and fear of needles.
--Not clowns but magicians: When I was 7 or 8 yrs, at kiddie birthday for a neighbor, they'd hired a magician. He started to set up, went to his car to get something, and curious me, I picked through items he'd had out for tricks. He came up behind me and told me he could make me vanish.
--Tarot cards, oji boards (can't spell it, tried spell download, doesn't work)--anything like it. They were used at a party and were too dead on regarding friends, myself.
--High heels. A newborn colt would do better in them. In heels, I have tripped/fallen at formals, wedding receptions, on stairs, getting in/out of cars and simply trying to walk across the carpet at home.
--Living plants. The fear is mutual.
--Having a marriage like my mom and dad (22 yrs, then divorced). Enough said.)
--That the Fresno State bulldogs won't have a good season.
--Multiple choice tests. I can pull off essay tests knowing just a bit of facts.
--Oh yeah, add: alligators. While visiting a friend in Texas, we stopped at a nature preserve near the coast. It had marshes fenced off, warning of alligators. My friend and I learned way over the fence, were dismayed we didn't see one. Then, my friend looked down, and very near the fence was one that had been covered in vegetation. It looked right up at us, and I guess, was considering us for dinner. We screamed and ran to the car, probably leaving behind a laughing alligator.
