To this day, my family calls me blowfish. When I was little, we went to the beach every summer with my cousins. Since I was the baby of the family, everyone would dunk me in the water. Before going under, I would puff my cheeks up with air and my family said I looked like a blowfish. I'm stuck with it. And let me just say that high school was horrible having that for a nickname.

Maggie is not an easy name:
mag-pie
maggamuffin
raggamuffin
faggy maggie
magaroo
magdelena
dogma (my crazy friend calls me this because I tried to make her go to yoga class and all she did was laugh the entire time)
miggidy-miggidy-mac (think kris-kross)

then when i got to college and joined AZD, I became Maggie Kay bc there was already a big maggie (senior) and a lil maggie (junior). which has stuck FOREVER.

also, my big was drunk one night and it was raining really bad out and i was wearing a green pullover with a hood (kelly-green!) and i had the hood on and she came up and tied it around my face and called me a glo-worm. so then i became Glo-Worm, Worm, and Glo, and Glo-ness

Most of my relatives called me by my middle name Jay.

the bartender at the bar I used to hang out dubbed me "Sleepy" because I usually go there after work and I doze off.

My first post ever... although a bit on the embarassing side. My dad used to call me Ex-Lax (as in smooth move, Ex-Lax) whenever I did something stupid. Nicknames now include Marvin, Champ, kamikaze, Tunes, C, Car, Carl, Carlos, Carlita, Carliyah, Carlamabob... I could go on, but I won't.

I have had like a million nicknames in my life....,
My name is Kelly, so the standards, Kelly Jelly Belly, any of the above combonations. i was also called Baby C, cause my older brother was on the high school football team and he was a senior my freshman year. Everyone on the football team called him C (the first intial to our last name) and when I came to school I became baby C, later shortened to baby. I was also smurf (I'm only 5') and lockjaw, which is a really bizarre long story and I have to thank my friend Jon in Sigma Nu for that one.

We call one of our good buddies "Wooderson" after the character in Dazed and Confused. He keep aging, but his girlfriends always seem to stay 18.... lol.

When I was little, I had Baby Cakes, Little Brown Bug in a Rug (I was really tan), and Noodleroni. I acutally didn't mind those... they were pet nicknames. My mom refused to let me be called Nicki.

But then my jerk uncle started calling me Wendy Whiner because I got picked on a lot as a kid and cried a lot because of it.

In high school I got nicknamed Booter because I was a soccer player and one of the dumb football jocks decided to call me that.

Now in college I'm Big Boobs or Boober. One of my friends wouldn't quit shouting "Big Boobs!" across campus every time she saw me so I started calling her Tiny Tits. Heh.

NICKNAMES THROUGH THE YEARS

I was always really thin, so I always got teased when I was younger. In 2nd grade, all year, one kid called me Skinnedy (makes no actual sense, but really wounded me at the time ::shrugg: - I still remember his name - Tony - and the funny thing is, he was really skinny too.

My parents call me, "Grace," because everyone who first meets me/kind of knows me, but not really, thinks that I'm really graceful, elegant, and put together (according to my parents) but I'm really clumsy and a little ditzy.

Now, I don't really have a nickname, but everyone in my sorority is starting to call me by my last name - and I'm not fond of it. My big sister and her roommate started it. It's even spreading outside my sorority....some people don't even know my *actual name.* Grrr.

-Allie
